Called the hotel after collecting luggage to ask about shuttle. Man who answered the phone told us where it would stop & that it would be about 15-20 minutes. Thirty minutes after we got to the stop -- still no van. I called back. He rudely said, "It's on the way" and hung up on me! Called back ANOTHER thirty minutes later & the call went straight to music-- not even answered. It was now midnight & we had been waiting just over an hour. About that time, a van arrived. However, there were more people than would fit on the van. A van from another hotel arrived about the same time and the two drivers proceeded to get into a shouting match! No idea what about as they were speaking in another language. The second driver ended up feeling sorry for us & taking the four of us to the Best Western. When we arrived at the property -- there was NO apology from the front desk guy. Acted like we were bothering him with showing up so late! The other couple on the van with us were elderly and obviously beyond tired. "Employee" had no compassion on them & did not offer any assistance -- even after everything we had all been dealing with! It wasn't because he was busy -- there were only the four of us in the lobby! |Property itself has deteriorated greatly from my last stay there about a year ago. Looks like they have done no maintenance since then. Except -- they have installed chemical sprayers in the rooms. It shoots spray into the room about every 10-15 minutes. This set off my allergies something crazy. Zero sleep since I was up all night coughing my head off! If they would actually clean they wouldn't have to try to "cover up" anything with allergen chemicals! |I have cancelled my future reservations & have no plans to return. (I cruise frequently from Ft Lauderdale & this is convenient -- but not worth the problems!)

This was an EXCELLENT location that did NOT rise to the occasion for the night. I stayed due to business. It was easily located near a shopping center. So eating and a few quick overnight needs were easily accessible. Once checked in, I proceeded to the elevator and NOTICED a few blowing fans on the 1st floor, didn't think anything of it. Upon arriving to the 2nd floor, I realized additional floor fans were stationed in the hallway. The floor itself was very fruity smelling as if the carpet was JUST cleaned. I went to my END room, opened the door, and a musty smell permeated from the room. It smelled VERY wet due to the carpet. It had been dried, but the odor was very awful. I happen to have carpet cleaner in the car. I asked room service to borrow the vacuum cleaner to do my OWN floor. I placed the carpet cleaner throughout the room and it began to absorb the odor immediately. Room service brought me the vacuum and I vacuumed the floor. The odor had gone away almost immediately. It lasted for maybe an hour or 2. So I went to the Dollar Tree and purchased air fresheners. I took them back to the room, opened them both immediately, and the smell had gone away instantly. This lasted for a few hours. I proceeded by spraying the carpet with my personal body spray. The scent lasted until about 4:30am. The odor of the carpet was overwhelming. I'd gotten up to prepare for my morning and left around 6am. The room itself was VERY clean. The water, even turned up to the hottest temperature was okay. It was just an awful and unfortunate experience. Word of advice, "time to remodel."

There was a large power outage during our stay. Certainly not their fault! Would have been nice if staff had offered rebooking at the front desk. Scott, one of the breakfast waiters, have us suggestions for a place to stay. He also made great recommendations about fun places to go out at night. He certainly was a bright spot with his constant positivity and infectious smile. Her helped make the best of a bad situation. Rooms are clean but quite small.

Needed an emergency hotel room due to flight change, was able to get a room at a reasonable rate for my midnight to breakfast stay. Staff was very accommodating, set me up with a ride for morning. Will stay again.

We waited over 46 min in hot sun for a shuttle that got lost ended up at wrong terminal I said I was at two not one. Made to feel I was to blame for the delay. The desk clerk no smiles didn’t feel welcome like I was just there . He said we could not split the bill on two cards . Was not thanks for being a diamond plus member given water bottle or snack option, or bonus points. |When I asked for a wake up call told I must go to room and call down. I said why I’m at the desk asking him now . He said it was the rules . |The other ladies there were happy to help and didn’t give me a hard time.||Totally different feel from other best westerns I have stayed at . Also the room had a very bad smell and bed was very hard sore back for two days .

The customer service here is terrible. I had nothing but issues since I called to confirm my room until I checked in. They charged me three times for the room and refused to refund me. Talked down to and verbally attacked. The staff lie about their names and then threaten to fight you when you hold them accountable for their mistakes. We were followed to the elevator by one of the staff while being accosted extremely aggressively. The room itself is what you expect from a best Western. It's outdated and cheap, but for a quick layover nap, it's fine. This has been well documented with video and audio recordings. Corporate has been told of their staffing issues. So far, no attempts to resolve this have been made. Will up date accordingly. To keep things transparent, I was traveling with my wife and son. The man had both of them crying as they tried to escape his presence only to be stalked by him.

Happy to stay here for the price. Stayed here 1 night before and after our cruise. Dont deal with Uber and lyft as we're from Canada so we were happy to pay 15$ each for transportation to and from the cruise. A 3rd party handles that as it's expensive to have proper coverage to bring people to port. Ray from All-stars was amazing. We knew port transportation was extra as that's what's described when booking so not sure why others say they expected it in the price. Slightly dated but happy overall. Clean. Winn Dixie is next door as we picked up simple microwave food for supper, simple and happy. Mcdonalds and Wendy's are within walking. A pizza place I believe was next door along with a dollar store. Happy overall.

Karyl is amazing this lady can handle so much stuff going on. I have rarely seen such efficiency. She had shuttle arrive with loads of people coming in at all hours of the night. I saw her here at 8:00 in the morning and at 11:00 at night and she got me extra blankets that I needed. She was courteous and polite and she helped make sure that we got the shuttles all on time. The shuttle driver Conrad, was a lot of fun and kept us entertained with singing and made the drive a lot more pleasant, especially when people were stressed out after long hours of traveling. We used his services several times as our party came in flying at different times. And then we had also the shuttle to take to the cruise terminal . and it was just a really pleasant experience. The breakfast was delicious. Plenty of scrambled eggs and fresh sausage patties. The signature waffles and all in all, just an amazing experience for this my first time in fort Lauderdale
