Nice big clean rooms, parking lot was big with plenty of open spaces. Unfortunately, they don't have an elevator, and the steps had an open back which was a bit challenging to manuver with luggage and kids. I would have requested a ground floor room if I would have realized this ahead of time. They had a nice big breakfast bar. Surrounding town is small with many orchards, but not many store/ gas options on the side of town with this hotel.
We stopped by for a Sequoia trip. The room was outdated but cleaned. Friendly staff and simple breakfast. The swimming pool was really warm as we went there during the heatwave. Our kid loved it. We felt safe and the hotel offered good value for what it is and its location
The location is a bit off, but in short distance to "central Exeter" and its restaurants, if they are open. They serve a minimalistic breakfast with limited tables and one-way paper plates and plastic cutlery. Definitely a big minus. There was one outstanding plus which all our companions mentioned after three weeks of staying in many places all over California and Hawaii: the beds were incredibly comfortable. Even the sleeps sofas were more comfortable than pricy hotels in LA, SF or Honolulu.
We had a lovely one night stay here! I forgot the name of the gentleman who checked us in, I believe his name started with a B, but he was super kind and helpful. Rooms were spacious and clean. Pillows were awesome! Breakfast in the morning was just what we needed before a day of hiking in Sequoia. If we ever find ourselves in the area again, we’ll definitely be staying here.
I LOVED our breakfast experience. The waffle maker with the BW was a cute touch. Everything from the coffee to the yogurt fridge was amazing. Not to mention the staff was extremely kind, from the desk staff, kitchen staff to the cleaning crew. I am constantly disappointed by the cleanliness of hotel rooms, but this one far exceeded my expectations. I fell asleep with the scent of clean sheets
Great accommodation, rooms are in great condition, very clean. This place is 30min from sequoia but convenient for people heading out next day. Parking n in front of the hotel, staff is friendly and nice. I stayed here for one night and upon arrival I was welcomed with small bag of goodie’s. I highly recommend this place over other options available in this area.
Every staff member we interacted with went above and beyond. Examples - 1st one said on the phone for us to feel free to swing by before checkin time so we could leave a bag with food in the lobby so we wouldn’t have to worry about bear issues while at Sequioa National Park. 2nd one said, oh hey, you’re here and your rooms already ready, feel free to check in now. Such great people. I hate using big web services to arrange my stays - so dehumanizing and cuts into hotels’ ability to keep afloat. I loved being able to book directly with this hotel through their own booking service. Highly recommend!
Was very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. One of the cleanest hotels we have stayed at. Room was spacious. Breakfast choices were a little more limited than other Best Westerns and ended at 9:30 rather than 10:00 but was adequate.
Small town gem. We drove through on the way to Sequoia National Park. Glad we stopped in! We ordered 3 kids meals to go (2 burgers and a turkey sandwich), a club, a chicken fajita sandwich and a garden side salad. The portions were HUGE, so I recomme
Me and my husband had an incredible delight to have dinner at Lafayette and now itâs my favorite French restaurant! Starting with atmosphere, outdoor seating is magically beautiful, great music puts you in a right mood and omg the food! Yes prices
