The room was spotless. The beds were really comfortable. The pool was so relaxing. The breakfast bar was tasty and plentiful whit great waffles! Mark was so accommodating and a real pleasure to talk to. Yes, I would definitely stay here again!
We have stayed here several times, but can tell it's getting older without updates. The bathtub/shower has no grab bars, no shelf for soap and shampoo, and the tub is slick. We put a towel down to stand on in the shower. We slept ok, but the mattress was not the best. We didn't get breakfast, but there were several items available. I usually grab a piece of fresh fruit, but they didn't have any. Mark, at the desk when we checked in, was super nice.
I've traveled alot and stayed in the best of motels/hotels and this by far was my favorite one... Upon opening my room the fragrance of cleanliness hit my nostrils immediately.. The room was immaculate to say the least.. whomever cleaned my room you are the goat.. the guy at the front desk was very informative and well professional. If I could give this experience 10 stars I would.. If I am ever in this area again I will most definitely stay here 💯 hopefully in the same room.
We asked for a room with a sofa. We were given a room with a horrible uncomfortable chair. We would have left but my husband wasn't feeling well & was extremely tired.
The bathroom door wouldn't close & the entry door was hard to open at times. If fact,at one point, we thought we would have to call someone to open it for us.
We're seniors and both in poor health. I have spinal stenosis & can't get comfortable sitting on the bed propt with pillows. That's one of the reasons that we ask for a room with a sofa. The clerk that checked us in assured us that the room had a sofa. I even explained why we needed it.
My husband has dementia and got really agitated because he couldn't get comfortable.
The only thing positive about this place is the location because it's right off highway 59. Other than that, for the price, please look elsewhere.
I don't understand why we were charged full price for an didn't get the room we requested.
This hotel should be ashamed to have the Best Western sign attached to it.
Just go across the street or further down the road if you want an honest hotel.
This is a much smaller and older hotel (all the room doors open to the outside). However, it's still a great hotel for a 1 or 2 night stay. My room was clean and functional. They had a full breakfast (eggs, meat, cereal, etc). Staff was very helpful. I'd stay again.
The nastiest smelling room ever. Could not stay and no refund. Manager is a straight up looser.
I have gave a bad review to anyone, but this guy and place does not deserve the BW logo. It's a disgrace. The fact is I told office I was not staying because of room conditions. This is not a no show or anything like that. As in any agreement, customer satisfaction matters. If I was able to stay in the room I could see your point. This place looks and has the feel of a local Crack motel. Look around, it's nothing to be proud of.
After a long day driving from Georgia, Mark and his assistant made us feel most welcome. Rooms are older but very clean and well maintained. Mark and his assistant were again most welcoming the following morning at breakfast. Plan to stay again next time.
It's on old style Hampton and I love the new ones, but you know what - it's clean and the coffee was good, and the breakfast was fine, so I would stay there again.
Very nice gem of Texas history. Our guide was very knowledgeable and answer all of our questions. They have amazing pieces (antiques) that bring you back to the 1800 and how life and customs were at that time. They have a family fee which is great w
