Best Western Celina - Hotel in Celina - 2020 Holiday Dr, USA

This used to be our favorite place to stay whenever we visit the Celina area, but unfortunately we won't be staying here again. My special needs son has a certified Emotional Support Animal and they only allow registered service animals. I guess this goes to show how the Best Western in Celina feels about mental health. #mentalhealthmatters

NOT Family friendly; management banged on the door whenever my baby son started to cry in the early afternoon. If you drink from the breakfast juice bar you will notice that it tastes like mold. The machine hasn’t been cleaned in a long time. The hallways carpet is very old and smells like mildew. Pool is not heated. Unsanitary breakfast; needed to use the restroom immediately after eating. Staff doesn’t help with luggage. All around bad experience. If you are visually impaired be careful of uncarpeted and unmarked duct-taped stairs. UPDATE: Dishonest reply from the management; staff were pounding loudly on the door on three separate occasions while my son was crying as was trying to put him to sleep, not "the majority of the day". If you have small ones avoid this place, its not worth it. The pool was freezing when we last visited. During breakfast on my last day I was approached by the staff who were extremely unprofessional and rude asking me about another customer's room number, never said why, which left me in disbelief why I would know such a thing or why I was being asked in the first place.

The rooms were great and the beds very comfortable, lots of great pillows on the bed. Lots of room. And very clean, we had a wonderful bfast every morning. Only issues I had was the man next to our room putting furniture together before 9am...I needed to be up anyhow I guess.

Positive: clean and convenient. Staff suggested an excellent nearby restaurant. Negative: The gaggle of geese that I assumed were going to assault the paintwork on my new car (they didn't).

They take pride in keeping this place clean. I walked in and smelled very clean, neutral. Rooms felt and smelled great! This is a good location. Checkin gal Randi was very informative.

Good location close to shopping and restaurants, room was spacious and clean with microwave and fridge, overall hotel was clean and well kept, fitness center and heated indoor pool available, loved having hot breakfast in the morning – very good selection, and very delicious!

Stay was average but the price was almost twice what I paid the night before at a different location (another BW property) . A few glitches with the key cards, no biscuits w/sausage gravy at breakfast and not being able to use points to pay for a portion of the cost lowered my rating. |Otherwise, the room was clean, fairly large and had a sofa and King bed. In place of the usual drapes were shade thingies; one darker that the other that could be used independently. Beats the heck out of grandmas curtains that are in most of the properties I have stayed at. Also, the curtains can’t interfere with the airflow from the A/C. |The bathroom was small/cramped with shower in the tub and a toilet without soft closing seat/lid. The sink in the main room is handy but…|All in all not an unpleasant stay but pricey for what I got.

Employees were very friendly. The room was clean and updated. It is in a good location. Sadly the breakfast was very disappointing. Gas station sandwiches and waffles. I was expecting at least scrambled eggs...
