I was very pleasantly surprised. The Best Western Carthage exceeded my expectations. A very large room for a great rate. Clean, comfortable. The only glitch was that the large TV kept losing its satellite signal. We have to reboot 4-5 times during our 1-night stay. The complimentary breakfast was good and fresh ... loved the Texas-shaped waffle! Thank you for easing the stress of traveling for a funeral. Associate Tara was exceptionally professional and friendly.
First off, the exterior was clean, they had invested in professional exterior cleaning. We walked in and it looked and smelled clean. Jonathan checked us in, told us about breakfast, and pointed out fresh coffee they had available right then at 5 pm. The rooms were nice and clean, we had a great view of trees outdoors everything worked perfectly. Highly recommend this place for your travels.
I feel like Best Western corporate should take all of their franchise owners here so they can all see how it is done properly. I love the professional effort yet welcoming casual feel.|I adore a property that is actually into happy guests with a focus on the guest choosing them on a future visit. I do road travel quite often and I appreciate this.| The pool was so clean and sparkly and the jacuzzi actually was working and on bubbling (hotels always have an excuse for the jacuzzi not working).|The room was excellent; quiet, spotless and fully functioning; as was breakfast - plenty of fruit and coffee (who could ask for more) and fun foods too (waffles, cereal).|Reading material, vending (please stock soon) and a lovely green pasture around the property; it is like a little resort in Carthage Texas.|Peaceful and quiet on the loop but close to the adorable downtown area to grab lunch and shop a bit.|Thank you, Carthage.
Wow! Flawless. Fast check-in, super clean and everything worked well; they even had the jacuzzi outside fresh & bubbly for anyone that wanted to use it. Breakfast was plentiful, clean and pleasant. Lovely prairie behind the property which my window overlooked. Fluffy bed, excellent stay and Carthage is a great town to visit.
I set my family from Florida up with a twin queen room as they were in Carthage for my mother's funeral. They were very happy with the quality of the room, beds, cleanliness, friendliness, ect. The breakfast they offer is also quite good. I know that I won't hesitate to stay at the Carthage Best Western again and I'll recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a nice stay at a reasonable price.
The front desk staff was exceptionally excellent. I recall the professionalism of Andrea as warm and very kind. While we were in Carthage for a family reunion, staff seemed like family. Only area I could recommend an improvement in was breakfast food. Staff in area was friendly too.
Hotel is nice and even had a ceiling fan in the room. That was a very nice surprise and helped all of us sleep better than we usually do in a hotel. Location is great even though there is only one entrance which is difficult to see and parking area is small. Vending machine next to 1st floor elevator was almost empty. The base of one of the beds was pulled out way too far and everyone in our party kicked it/stubbed toes. I notified the front desk when we checked out. Overall, stay was great and will probably stay again next time we're in town.
Room was clean and comfortable, everything worked, cool air, refrigerator, microwave, and hair dryer. We did not use iron and ironing board. Nice sofa sitting area. Hot water with plenty pressure for showers. Nice variety for breakfast. 24/7 hot coffee. Helpful and friendly staff.
