The staff were friendly (more to come on that) and the bed was comfortable. It’s in a convenient location. Although it’s an older property they have maintained it pretty well. There was a great bathroom mirror with 360 lighting. ||Suggestions:|-Brighter room lights|-Add charging ports. My charge block would not plug into the light or desk’s ports because there wasn’t enough space. A couple of other electrical outlets were too loose. |-A keycard system that isn’t so super sensitive to being anywhere close to a cell phone. ||Last but not least (for me), a big shoutout to Angie at the front desk! I was scheduled for two nights but each was reserved separately and by different methods. Turns out they were different room categories and I would have to change rooms for the second night. Not good. But Angie, a new employee, worked to get me a solution so I wouldn’t have to change rooms in the middle of my stay. I was so thankful that I didn’t have to be in limbo overnight until the manager would be there.
An exceptional value if you're looking for a place to stay after Tecumseh. Tidy, clean rooms and the best night's sleep in a hotel I've had in recent memory. Getting the correct driveway is a little tricky when you come in through the plaza, Google maps is correct - turn right in front of the small block of shops rather than going all the way back to the main plaza as the connection doesn't go all the way through. $2 pop machine and well-stocked snacks were a great touch too. Showers were a little slippery.
Adena Inn has become our "go to" hotel when traveling because it is clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced. HVAC worked great and everything worked in the room. The location is also great with shopping and restaurants within walking distance. Staff is also very friendly and caring.
I was visiting from the UK, travelling around the north USA, booking hotels during the afternoon for that evening.||This day there wasn't much choice. It was rated 3-star by BOOKING dot COM and was the most expensive hotel of my 2 week visit. (*)||Chillicothe has some nice places nearby, historical sites and also it has a nice state park. However downtown it feels a bit run down.||The hotel is downtown off the main road, and not in the nicest of settings, however there did seem to have been an effort outside to make it look clean and tidy and for some reason I remember the blue lighting shone on the wall.||The reception and breakfast area was small, suggesting more a 2-star than a 3-star.||The room was smallish, but perfectly OK. The bathroom was particularly small.|The bathroom must have been renovated. The shower had a sliding glass door and was lovely and clean. The sink area was granite (or the like), but bizzarely the basin must have been the original as the glaze was cracked. The electrical panel also looked like it was the original as the plastic was discoloured and it didn't look new. Perhaps the owner needed to save a few dollars here and there, which is a pity.||So I tried the TV, but all I got was Disney channel. I could change volume, switch on/off but I could not change channel. Up/down did not work. I wondered if it was set in childrens mode, so went to reception to ask. They provided new batteries for the remote but that did not help, so came along to take a look. Apart from briefly getting a different channel, they couldn't make channel change work. So I couldn't use the TV for Discovery/History. Again not what is expected at the price I paid.||The room had a telephone and behind the red plastic filter 3 lights were flashing on and off, as if there was a message. I asked reception, but they were unable to help, so I pulled the cable, as I would have been unable to sleep with a bright red flashing light in the room.||When I sat at the desk, I noted that some of the panels of the desk and cabinet were warped. Not a major issue, but not what you expect at the price I paid. ||TBH the room decor and bed linen patterns looked dated. Nevertheless it was clean.||Breakfast was OK, much the same as in other chains.||When I checked out I reported the TV problem and red flashing phone light to the receptionist. It wasn't a complaint just feedback, as I thought that they might want to sort it out for the next guest. I was asked to speak to the manager (owner?). About the non channel changing TV, there was no apology. About the red flashing lights on the phone, he told me that this "was normal" and was a way that the cleaners could see that the phone was working. I call BS. He said this was to indicate that the phone was on. We argued about the red flashing lights, something I haven't seen since my first stay in the USA in the 80's! He then said " so you want me to change the whole phone system for you?", which I found insulting. However in hindsight, I would say yes, go ahead and change your dated phone system for a more modern one where the guests won't be kept awake by a bright red flashing lights!!! It was only ever my intention to give feedback, but his attitude was as if I had personally insulted him.||This was the most disappointing stay of my visit and ironically the most expensive hotel. If you find yourself in Chillicothe, do yourself a favour and drive to Cincinati where there is a wider choice of hotels and likely better rates.||TBH I am p-ss-d at BOOKING dot COM and they have recevied my feedback about this hotel.||For the remainder of my trip I avoided any "Best Western" branded hotel. They will also get my feedback.||FWIW the hotel appeared to have an outside pool, which perhaps explains the 3-star rating.||(*) Perhaps the hotel jacked up the rates due to lack of availability elsewhere, but was the worst value for money of any hotel at which I stayed during my visit. I paid less to stay at Hilton Hampton Inns which all were of exceptional quality. Photos make this hotel look far nicer than it is in person.
We didn’t have many choices on Memorial weekend booking as we went traveling to the East Coast. Found this hidden place as a last resort. Fairly well priced but not the quality of the Hilton Brand we usually stay in. It worked out fine and we were happy to have found anything as we were weary! Then after checking in the desk clerk tells us, the elevator doesn’t work so we HAVE to carry our bags to the second floor, a big challenge for us Seniors! I was very annoyed! Buyer be ware!!!
First hotel I’ve been 100% disappointed staying at. Haven’t been anywhere since 2021 when we had a baby an Covid was still a pandemic. Drove a few hours go to a wedding stayed here the other week and most the outlets didn’t work, the room was extremely dusty, coffee machine wouldn’t work had the wrong replacement parts, the shower had the floor so wet it almost went out the door, the controller back kept coming off, pillows are paper thin, bed was hard, there’s only one drink machine in the building it doesn’t accept cards or dollar just change, fridge barely got cold and the air conditioning made a loud noise. They have a pool but there’s a spider infestation around the entire perimeter of the fence.
Positive: Very clean and staff was friendly and helpful. Negative: My wife is disabled so I reserved a handicap accessible room with a king bed. Upon arrival I was told that the handicapped accessible room I reserved was on the second floor and there was no elevator. My wife cannot climb stairs. Also no milk with breakf Negative: ""
Initially, we were only going to stay 1 night, but in the morning, my husband experienced severe vertigo so we had to extend our stay. The managers were very accommodating and helpful. They rearranged the reservations allowing us to stay in the same room so my husband would not have to move. Then the following morning, when my husband's vertigo had not improved, they accommodated us by switching us to a room next door with a walk in shower, vs the tub shower we had so my husband didn't have to step over the tub. The whole time, we were treated with consideration and kindness and an attitude of "how can we help." Never once did I feel like we were a bother. Just wanted to say that the managers (one of them is Amanda) and housekeeping (Tammy and another young lady) were exemplary employees and instrumental in helping us when we most needed it- hundreds of miles from home. World class customer service in a small town way. 👍❤️ Thank you.
Ashley was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful but not pushy. I canât wait to get my chair and ottoman which will be delivered Friday. I stopped to look at another chair I had a picture of. Ashley showed it to me and it was beautiful, however
We had a great time very peaceful even though the police showed up it didn't interfere with us, nice to see their presence if something were to happen, they drove through a few times too. Nice to have so many areas and the pond with the ducks and swa
