Best Buy - Electronics store in Duarte - 1470 Mountain Ave, USA

This was a mixed visit. After checking online to make sure they had what I was looking for was in stock I headed to the location to pick up my gimble. They have plenty of parking and I was greeted when I entered and asked what I was looking for so he could help me get to the area where my product was. After searching high and low I was unable to find what I came for. I went to the cashier asking if maybe it was behind the counter. The gentleman looked and checked the floor and returned to tell me I should go to the Pasadena store because he couldn’t find the one at his store. He then told me that I could ask someone else at this location but they won’t find it. Feeling a bit frustrated I asked to speak to a manager. Sebastian came to the rescue. I explained my problem and frustration. Sebastian asked me to give him a minute to look and within minutes there he was with my gimble in hand. He rang me up and was very helpful, professional, and kind. Ten out of ten recommend getting help from Sebastian. Went back to return our opal ice maker and it was a total nightmare. Erwin was nice and helpful but the greeter at the door SUCKS! I hate this new service they stop you at the door and interrogate you about where you’re going and if you try to just walk in without anybody addressing you, you can forget that they stop you and question you this is very intrusive and it almost makes me not want to shop in the store at Best Buy 10 out of 10 does not recommend please change this policy immediately it sucks and the people greeting at the door are extremely rude. Major power tripping.

WORST customer service. No wonder it is so slow here. Waiting for cell phone help for 20 min after being told he will help after he finishes with a customer, employee walks away to help cashiers with no line. Then asks if I still need help after I practically follow him to cashier. Manager says that standard protocol modeled after Apple. What a great store.

This is regarding the Duarte location but I'm assuming it's all Best Buy stores. They have the worst customer service. I dropped off my cell phone for a simple repair at 3pm on Dec. 5th 2023. The Geek Squad doesn't close until 9pm and yet they said the phone wouldn't be done until the next at around 1pm because the Geek Squad doesn't start working in the morning until 11am. Why doesn't Best Buy have people working in the morning, and why do they not have enough staff to get things done faster?! So 1pm the next day came and went and I heard nothing from Best Buy. I tried calling but instead of getting someone in the store, I got someone in India and they said that they could not transfer me to the store. They did agree to contact the Geek Squad and ask them to call me for an update but I never heard from the Geed Squad even though a request was put in. It's now 4pm and I still haven't heard from Best Buy. I went online to check the repair status since I couldn't reach anyone at the store, but when I put in the work order number, there's no record of it in their system and so I was out of luck there as well. The other place I was going to take it to for the repair said they'd have it done in 2 hours; I wish I had gone there. We're over 24 hours and Best Buy hasn't communicated with me in any way, and they have made it impossible for me to reach them. When I talked to the Best Buy customer service in India, they said that even if I wanted to talk to someone in sales about buying products, they said they can't transfer me to the store. All calls, sales calls and product information calls, all have to be done with customer service in India. Unbelievable! People are going to get tired of their awful customer service and I expect to see all Best Buy stores shutting down for good at some point, because I know my family and I are done giving them business.

Greeted at door. They asked if we were looking for anything. I told them what phone & they told us to take a seat & they'll bring it to us. They brought 2 phones to us, one new & the other an open box for us to choose. It was so fast that we were in there less than 20 minutes.

I recently had to replace the screen inner protector on my Fold 4, as it started peeling off. I went to Best Buy for the job, and I must say, they exceeded my expectations. The service was incredibly fast; they replaced the protector in just 2 hours. The installation was flawless, and my phone looked as good as new. I'm thoroughly impressed with Best Buy's expertise and efficiency in handling this issue. If you're in need of any tech-related services, I highly recommend Best Buy for their fantastic job!

I really do not like posting negative reviews like this. I am a long time resident of Duarte and I want this store to succeed. Somehow it manages to stay in business even with the extremely poor customer service. I was in again on Monday 12/11/23 to pick up a gift. Many employees standing around. Sometimes 2 with 1 customer. I try to find SOMEONE in the area who might be able to answer a few questions, but even after looking directly at 2 employees nobody wants to move. So I take 2 similar products to the checkstand to A) check price because there was no price on the shelf and B) explain the difference between a JBL Flip 5 and Flip 6. Of course I have to wait in line. Finally I get to the register and all the employee could do was check a price and tell me that one was newer.What makes the newer model better and worth the higher price? He didn't know. Sorry Duarte Best Buy, I think I am done.

Great to see appliances and other things in person. Good selection of tech needs. You can also see if items are in stock before you go in store by using the app.
