Best Buy - Electronics store in Encinitas - 1046 N El Camino Real, USA

Best buy has really gone downhill. The employees were nice and all, but it seems like the store is in disarray. What my biggest gripe is, is that when you call in you don't talk to the store anymore. It's a call center that will not transfer you to the store. I had questions about products and wanted to speak to a car electronic specialist and they didn't transfer me.

Person at the front was very rude when I entered, sent me to what I was looking for but said nothing about sending over an associate to help me. What I needed was locked. I then told him I needed someone to help and I waited a long time with no one acknowledging me. This has been the case the last three times I've gone here - there is not nearly enough staff. But it was really the rudeness of the greeter, who saw me leave from frustration and said nothing. I ended up buying the item on Amazon which I had been trying to avoid to give the business to an in-person store.

Well after dealing with Apple before coming here before they had closed, it was more pleasant to have some kind people helping us in Greek squad. They were kind enough to mess with the Apple iPhone that wouldn't turn on at all luckily they just barely changed there hours or else we would've been S.O.L. they tried to update the phone which apple refused to do with 25 minutes to spare. They had no luck but told us what we could do and how we can accomplish those tasks to deal with the phone issues. We are just glad that someone tried to do something even though the outcome didn't end up with a working phone. Thank you for the help, empathy and being personable while we waited!

worst service ever.. as you can see by my previous reviews I am typically positive. The employees at this store yesterday(9/8/24) were particularly unhelpful. They created a mistake that they refused/were unable to fix and offered no solution. Although I was a return customer (over many years) I will no longer patronize this business.

Don't come here. They have little to no actual inventory inside their store and are awfully rude. I came in 20 mins before closing unaware and I came looking for a computer I saw one in budget on sale and asked someone they didn't have it and then proceeded to order online and I proceeded while the worker was leading me where another worker rudely says you can get out we are closed and they still had 2 minutes till closing and all members were in the front staring while I was tryna make my purchase. There's professional ways to say things and well I been to the Best Buy and Oceanside it's much better or San Marcos

No camera display models. No camera inventory. No lenses in stock. This is by far the most depressing Best Buy I have ever been in. For the love of everything that’s holy, don’t waste your time or gas money coming here. Head to Oceanside store instead.

The supervisor and the staff are a bunch of crooks. I had a horrible experience for buying an open-box TV which turned out to be defective or garbage. They kept me there like 2 hrs trying to fix it, dealing with aggressive and confrontational costumer service. When i asked for a working TV, they canceled my order, threaten me to call the cops and kicked me out of the store. Horrible service!

Dropped off my MacBook Pro laptop to the geek squad to have it diagnosed, because it wouldn't start up. They called me a couple of hours later and told me my laptop was fried, that I needed to buy a new laptop, which would've cost me $2500 for a comparable laptop. Was pretty close to buying it right there on the spot, but something told me to hold off. I took the computer home, opened up the back and disconnected, cleaned the ports and reconnected the battery and hard drive. Now it works perfectly fine! I went back to talk to the store manager Anthony, who is the person who told me it was fried. I asked him how he determined my computer was fried, and he said he assumed it was fried because it wouldn't start up. I asked him if he even opened up the computer to check the ports for the battery and hard drive. He said they're not allowed to do that on Apple computers. I said well how can you determine that my laptop is fried? And why take my $180 for your useless geek squad annual subscription? He apologized and refunded my $180. Total bait and switch con artists. Avoid at all costs....
