Best Buy - Electronics store in Waterford - 913 Hartford Turnpike, USA

Ordered a new item, an open box item was delivered, difference in price $800. Was told I would be credited but needed to wait 24 hours to confirm with shipping company. After 24 hours was told they couldn't credit me but would ship a new oven. My problem is I would have purchased an open box but the website stated not available, total scam. I asked delivery company why no box? They played dumb and said I needed to contact Best Buy. Is best buy trying to sell returned items as new? Buyer Beware.

I did an online order for an in store pickup. From beginning to end, this was as close to a “perfect” experience as it gets. Mainly because the young woman behind the counter was so pleasant and down to earth. While Best Buy isn’t always the cheapest, the do have some pretty good employees which at times can make it worth the extra expense.

Easy access. Friendly staff. You go to Best buy to break some bank lol. This location was really nice.

I ordered a stereo and made an appointment to have it installed. Then I got a call from the service department saying they were not qualified to Install it. 1979 pick up with a basic stereo. Hot wire, ground wire and memory wire. OMFG!!! Are you kidding me right now??? I put one of these in when I was 15 using the stereo instructions that came with it. Best Buy should be extremely embarrassed. I'll buy elsewhere and put it in myself.

Hate doing this. But gotta hit this with a 1 star and I love Best Buy. Unfortunatly I was treated very unfair and judged as if I were a child who needed to be reprimanded and out in time out 🤣. I waited for help in a section today looking to buy a keyboard for my 1700$ desktop I had bought from that store just a few weeks prior. No one came to help so I seen an open box, I looked in it put it back together then waited. Sat on the floor grabbed one I was going to buy and started to open it since there was none of that particular model on display. I was then approached rudely saying “there on display you neeed to stop opening all The boxes”. I replied I didn’t open them and it’s not on display what do you mean. She goes I seen you right over there. I go that was already opened I was putting it back together and that’s just 1 you said “all” She replied well stop it’s on display. I go this one is not she goes yes it is. She went for a second to look, realized how Dumb she looked. paused then got flustered so I go you know what. Never mind. I’m gonna go. Btw what’s your name? She grunted “Maggie” She had purple hair, heavy set. For sure “it’s maaaam/karen hybrid femminist “ men hating vibes for sure. Angry and very rude to a customer who has spent thousands at that location: I understand people have bad days I get that. But I was treated like a criminal, it’s not good for a work environment or to even treat people the way I was treated. I hope she deals with what ever she was going through. But we all have traumas. Leave that at the door when you go to work, and overall we need to be better as people I

The number one thing that finally makes me happy is the fact that they PRICE MATCH microcenter, when they didn’t before a few months ago. Whoever championed that change - you deserve a raise. The staff are very friendly, and the store is stocked with everything I need otherwise to build a competent PC. So, make sure to ALWAYS check the inventory and if it matches they’ll give it to you. A 5800X3D, the current AM4 gaming champ is $359 here - but price matched to MC it becomes a proper $289.

Upon arrival they have a rope that lets customers in a little at a time. The store was clean and neat. But bare! They were sold out of all the “popular” items. Bummer a lot of empty shelves. A lot of signs saying to go online to place your order. I feel like retailers in general under stocked for inventory. So many retailers out of products. Waste of a trip. I feel like now a days you are better off shopping online. But I like visiting a store now and then to see things in person.
