Best 5 Motel - Motel in Salinas - 1010 Fairview Ave, USA

This place is great! Very clean. The couple that run the motel are extremely nice and friendly. Fridge, microwave and coffee all in room. The room was very large and has a big screen TV. If we are ever in the area again, this will be our #1 choice to stay. Priced for affordability. Best hotel for our vacation! Highly recommend for a peaceful night's sleep.

Horrible customer service My room door locked me in from inside AND OUT! Couldn’t get out for over thirty minutes called and it took them 30 mins to finally come help me once I climbed out the window to go get them to come open the door and then they tried to tell me since it was locked and wouldn’t open that I would get a refund and have to leave at 11pm at night and I had a 1 year old daughter that was sleeping! When I asked the manager for a different room she said they were all booked when in fact they WERE NOT because I checked Expedia at the same time once I asked for her boss number to complain she smiled and grinned like something was funny and rooms were disgusting would not recommend or ever stay there again!

I booked and online room. Through Hopper App, when i arrived, office seemed close. Dark inside. I told the lady, im here for a reservation room i made, she goes to computer and then tells me, they don’t do online reservations, they only do walkins? To call the app and request my refund they couldn’t help me and they send me on my way, don’t recommend booking here safe your trip and money for elsewhere.

upon arriving the tv did not work, no refrigerator, or microwave as advertised, rude unprofessional staff, the pool was closed and full of dirty green water. The beds are comfortable. The housekeeping staff only made up one bed instead of both beds that we used. The drawers were filthy on the inside so we did not put anything in the drawers I don't think they had even mop the bathroom floor in a few days because there was stuff splattered on the floor there was no mini fridge no microwave the pool was out of commission couldn't use that.

a Nightmare! DIRTY, DIRTY, DIRTY. 86.50$. I repeat: 86.50$ for THIS, look at the pictures. Look at THAT chair. This place is a mess. We paid for a double and they gave us a single with the less comfortable bed in the world with stains of IDK what everywhere. A toothbrush abandoned in the napkins holder. AVOID THIS PLACE, SPEND 10$ more and go somewhere else. Disgusting!

Arrived at motel at a late hour of the night , wasn’t there even 6 hours housekeeping banging on door and just walked in while I was asleep ! Asking for towels like I used all of them already ! The sheets were dirty and looked like a car ran over them only 2 flat pillows and front desk was extremely rude when asked for additional pillows . I had to leave because I had a guest stop by and manager banged on my door while just getting out of shower I was completely nude , he sounded like he had a warrant for my arrest! I seen bed bugs as well I would not recommend this motel to anyone no matter how cheap !!

I checked in with a gentlemen named Sonny. He was very courteous and quick to check us in. He was especially helpful when we did not have any dinnerware to eat our food. I asked for a spoon and he came back with plates, forks, spoons and napkins. I was really surprised. The rooms are spacious and really clean. Also what I really liked was the cleaning lady knocked on our door and asked if we needed towels, which we did and she came back in two minutes with them. I will come to Best 5 in Salinas ,CA every time I need a room. Thank you Sonny, keep up the good work.|
