Every time I visit Detroit, dining at Besa is a MUST! My family and I went for dinner last week, and again, it did not disappoint! My sister had never been so I wanted to introduce her to this gem! She has now also added Besa to her favourites list lol Huge shout out to our server Kristen! She was so kind and truly went above and beyond and accommodated our every need ( she even brought my son lemons without seeds after learning he is a maniac that eats lemons like apples lol ). We had a nut allergy at our table and she made us feel very safe with our choices, giving us suggestions and was very knowledgeable and knew her menu items! The ambience of the restaurant is like upscale- casual! I would definitely do a date night, friends night out, or special celebration at Besa! The FOOD!!!! OMG THE FOOD!!!! I’ve tried almost everything on the menu now and it is all so good! You can tell it’s made with love and that everyone in the restaurant puts care into every detail! Last visit my table ordered the manouri cheese with figs and the pulled lamb shoulder for appetizers, which both are two of my faves! Great for sharing! Then I had the village salad, which I did not share lol. For mains, I ordered the chicken thigh, my sister got the filet mignon and my hubby got the porcini mushroom ravioli, in which they shave fresh black truffle onto your pasta at the table! He said it was very rich but he still enjoyed it! We also ordered some cocktails that definitely packed a punch! Which is not a complaint haha We didn’t end up getting dessert because, well, we had no room left lol All in all, it was a great experience and they truly do an all around great job at Besa! I love a restaurant that not only has great food and atmosphere, but also appreciates and treats their patrons kindly and values customer service. 10/10 for me! Highly recommend!
The ambiance is amazing. The food is delectable and the location is perfect. Strongly recommend the spinach pie. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Will definitely be back.
This was mine and my husband’s first time here and it was so good. My favorites were the zucchini fritters, the truffle ravioli (the most unique ravioli I’ve ever had), and the raspberry dessert. It was all amazing and we will definitely be back!
Excellent food, cocktails, and service. Tried a variety of items such as the Lion Mane Kabob (succulent); Sea Scallops(scrumptious); lamb chops; fingerling potatoes…Every item was amazing. Perfect intimate Birthday restaurant!
Wonderful spot for dinner! One of the best in Detroit. We had such a nice elegant meal here. We sat in one of the booths and it was great. All the food was wonderfully prepared. The oysters and octopus were incredible. The kale salad and entrees were also great. The service was great, attentive but we didn’t feel rushed.
My visit to BESA in Detroit was quite underwhelming. The food lacked any discernible flavor, leaving my taste buds yearning for something more exciting. From appetizers to main courses, everything seemed disappointingly bland, making the dining experience forgettable. I had higher expectations, and unfortunately, BESA fell short in delivering a satisfying culinary experience.
Ordered the filet mignon medium. It was perfect. Meal & drinks were very good & flavorful. The service was great. Atmosphere is a 10.
I had gone for date night with my husband, the service was so good & smooth. We ordered calamari , zucchini fritters for appetizers. We were recommended today’s special Ravioli stuffed with mushroom , which was mouth watering . It was the best ravioli we had till date. Ordered a cocktail - which had white rum , forgot the name of it . It was just amazing . We took Trileches cake as takeaway. Overall really happy with the place , will surely visit again to try out other food menu and most importantly the cocktails 😊❤️
The food here is absolutely unmatched. From the flavor to the quality to the service, everything was 10/10. Ali has an ability to treat strangers like family. This restaurant is unreal!! Do yourself a favor and order the Iraqi Kabob, by far the best
