Such a wonderful night. Romantic, amazing food, and an enchanting atmosphere! The crab cake is a must and the steak was perfection! If you are looking for a date night or just a cozy evening with great food, Bernard's is your place!

A rare find in Tyler, Texas! The food here is scrumptious. We had the blackened redfish and it did not disappoint. The blackened char was perfect with lots of flavor. The Chicken Florentina was cooked perfectly. The chicken was moist and tasty with the perfect lemon flavor. The starter salad was very crisp with an amazing, light dressing. The olive tempande was a perfect addition to the bread. The slight garlic, olive oil flavor was so tasty I asked for more as my dessert! And if you are still hungry after all this food, don't miss out on the tiramisu! Sit at the bar and ask for Christa as your waitress or sit in the restaurant and ask for Crystal. Both of these ladies are amazing!

We loved everything about this place. My wife and I came here for our 31st wedding anniversary. I had the salmon and my wife had a steak plus dessert. The food and the service were exceptional.

My husband and I had a spontaneous date night and decided to give this restaurant a try. We were blown away. It is a beautiful and cozy restaurant. All of the servers are so sweet and accommodating. The food is amazing. Probably the best steak I have ever eaten and the fruit de mer delicious. We will definitely be returning.

Very nice lunch. I had the Halibut special, my son had the Chilean Sea Bass special, and my wife had the Veal Medallions. My son said his was the best fish that he ever tasted. Mine was excellent and my wife enjoyed hers. We are not from the area, and found the water to have a strange taste. The bread was also excellent, however, they charge you extra if you request a refill of the bread. They brought 4 small pieces for 3 people (which included 2 large men), hence one star off. Also, based on what we were told, deserts are not made in house.

The food was really good and our server Igor was so sweet. We enjoyed the atmosphere and will definitely be back. Word to wise, make a reservation!! We didn't know we needed one, and they were booked up, so we ate at the bar, which was fine but a little cramped, obviously.

We went to Bernard's our first time for my wife's birthday. On arrival on Saturday evening we found the place packed to overflowing. While we waited for our table to clear we sat in the bar for drinks. It was a warm, friendly environment with lots of interactions and busy but engaging bar staff. We watched servers hustling around attending to their customers with Bernard working right along side of them. We were sat at or table and were pleasantly surprised how friendly and knowledgeable out server was. Even with the big crowd, she was happy to spend as much time as we needed to hear all the specials and answer our questions. Then the food came and while had no expectations, it was outstanding. I had the lamb, my wife the veal. It was fantastic! This is a hidden gem in Tyler and we will definitely return often.
