Berkshire Inn - Hotel in Pittsfield - 150 W Housatonic St, USA

Positive: Bathroom finishes and quality. Beds were comfortable enough Negative: The cleanliness (hair in the bathroom and the carpets were NOT vacuumed). Also the curtains didn?t fully block out the light.

Positive: Shower spray was powerful. Negative: Room reeked of old smoke and room freshener. An ant crawled across my sheet while I was in bed in the morning. Room had dirty walls and a dirty front door. Shower was hard to turn on. Furniture was old and banged up entire room had a strong ?80s vibe.

Absolutely over priced, dirty, front staff not friendly old motel. |Was thrilled to see great reviews as this was a nice offer for our Tanglewood weekend. We paid over $260 for the night and honestly paid $200 too much |The rooms were dated, dirty with chips and holes throughout. Users will not pick up at this location. I would not stay here alone. Not safe.|The front office was not welcoming or able to help with the conditions. Checkout consisted of walking to the desk and being ignored while the person did paperwork then pointed to drop the key on the counter. no words of response to any questions asked.

The owners were incredibly rude and unkind. Absolutely no friendliness. Pool was not maintained and dirty. No signage on the pool for hours. Rooms were extremely small. This is listed as an Inn and in all reality is a motel at best. Bed was horribly hard. Room smelled very musty. Personal hygiene products were horrendous. One small bar of soap. No USB ports in any room, very outdated all around. Lights above the door attracted all bugs and was impossible to not allow them into the room when opening the door. Our traveling was to see our grown sons and when they were over after dinner (outside mind you), the owner confronted my husband very rudely and without any justification. Asked how many people were in the room. 1 star is too high for this place.

Decent rooms, comfy beds, fair rates, plenty of parking, free WiFi, 9ft pool. The lady who helps run the place was a little rude and tried to assume we were smoking just because we had a candle, even though we had to switch rooms (twice) once because of the smell the first time, and then the second time she didn’t give a reason…. But then put a random man who came after us in the same room a few hours later. The room they ended up moving us to, the AC didn’t work as well, which was annoying. The pool needed to be cleaned out (which I did) and I wasn’t told there were pool towel available, I had to ask about it. But all in all, it was better than the Fairbridge inn, which is the only other cheap hotel around that area.

My brother, who is on insulin, stayed there, and he told them the refrigerator was not working. The owner came down and said there was nothing wrong with it. In the morning everything was hot. Thank God I told him to his insulin in the cooler bag. He called the office and said the refrigerator was hot. The owner came back down and replaced the refrigerator. The next everything was frozen. He was their for 5 nights, and the owner never offered a night free or a discount for the inconvenience he had. I had to make sure the refrigerator was working.

Positive: Nothing Negative: Yes ?the owner & his wife insisted that we arrived on the wrong day, but said they would give us the only room they had. The next morning morning before checkout he came to our room & said he had kept my credit card & decided to charge us an extra $30.00

This place is advertised as an inn but it is a motel...for an inn price. We used afterpay and couldnt rebook somewhere else (so if you're budgeting definitely do your research--whoops.) Our first room smelled like cat litter and the bathroom was musty. We requested a new room, which smelled better until we found an open crawl space with a door that wouldn't close, filled with spiderwebs and a big hole in the floor. I didn't want to find out what could crawl up from there at night lmaaooo, so we showed this to the man behind the desk who literally: "😲", and got a 3rd room. It was less overtly bizarre than the other two but the air quality was bad and it smelled like smoke. The bathroom was actually sweet, the water pressure was excellent. They have a pool which looked beautiful but it was locked. They claim to offer continental breakfast but they don't, they served coffee though, which was good! The creamer went bad though so I had it black. The couch had build up stains (something only a wet-vacc could clean), so I didnt sit on or put my belongings on it; and the carpets also needed to be wet-vacced, my socks turned grey on the bottoms, I really wish I packed sandals. The housekeeping attendant was nice and clearly tries to keep the place sanitary but these rooms require deep maintenance and restructure of management. 3 min drive from downtown, 15 min walk. Cute surrounding neighborhood. Cute gaming store across the street if you like DnD and board games.
