Lots of good info for the curious mind. $5 per person and you can walk through the tunnel to the viewing area. In said area there are some signs with historical info and pictures, benches, and an old binocular thingy that costs a quarter. The entry building/gift shop has some souvenirs.
Pretty cool place. $5 bucks to walk through the tunnel to the observation deck. If you are into this kind of thing it is worth the $5 bucks. If unsure, send someone through 1st and have them decide if it is worth the whole crew paying the $5 each.

Found this on Google maps, was curious to know what it was. We were visiting Montana and had time to kill. Entry fee was $3 per person. Walked through large tunnel and onto the platform that over looks the pit. Crazy how much water is there!! Turned green due to all the minerals in there. There's placeboards that tell the history of it. Small gift shop and they offer a tour thru the city on a bus for $25. Place is interesting
Very interesting stop to enjoy local history, and very reasonably priced. Handicap accessible, so my daughter was able to see everything with us. To see and hear about the past mining operations in Butte, I would recommend this stop.
The water level has risen significantly since I last visited the mine 21 years ago.
A great place to stop and take in the views! So much rich history and it is amazing to learn facts about the operation that made Butte the richest hill on earth!

This is such a cool place. Really great environment and full of butte history. The owner was bad tending and was so friendly and easy to talk with. Iâm sad we donât live closer because I would be there all the time! Totally worth the stop!!
