My wife booked our stay at Benton Park In n to be fairly close to the Robert A. Young Federal Building, Downtown. I was attending my USA Citizenship Interview and was pretty stressed over it. Dan and Rosie made it a delight, I had asked Dan to pre-book a cab to take me over to my appointment, which by the time I needed to leave had not appeared and they were trying to find one, So Dan graciously took me over for the appointment.||The building is a beautiful old red brick building with well appointed rooms, we were in the Thomas Hart Benton Suite, I relaxed in the Hot Tub every night, so relaxing to just ease the stress and muscles. The pictures are a great representation.||The breakfasts were fantastic, We had Omelet with bacon and a small apple pastry, Pecan Oatmeal Waffles with Maple syrup and sausage links, A mixed pepper frittata with bacon, and French toast with a beautiful cinnamon apple topping, toast, and fresh brewed coffee or tea every morning also. Breakfasts aren't your usual fried eggs etc.. they are wonderful.||Rosie is an absolute bundle of fun, yes she is a bigger breed, pitbull, a rescue, and she is just a real sweetie, she has a deep bark when you come in or walk downstairs if she is there, she'll come running over to greet you with her tail wagging, I know some people are worried about Pitbulls and bigger breeds, but she is just a big softy. She loves people. And I for one after a few days getting to know her, miss her, and I'm a cat guy.||There are lots of nice cafes and restaurants nearby, my two favorites were The Blues City Deli, the sandwiches are excellent, and their homemade Pastrami is some of the best I've ever had. The other a bit more upmarket is The Sydney Street Cafe, more French/Japanese Fusion fine dining. But Dan has a map in his info folder in your room and copies he can give you of the local cafes/restaurants within a few minutes walking or driving distance.||Dan is the most gracious host, where nothing is too much trouble. When I return to St. Louis, I will be staying with Dan and my new fried Rosie!!

We had never been to STL before & were seeking an alternative to commercial downtown hotels for our vacation. PROS - The host (Dan) was friendly and welcoming. His breakfasts were good, too. The neighborhood seemed safe and has multiple outstanding restaurants within walking distance. CONS - While the rooms are spacious, we felt the place is in need of a serious renovation. This includes not just the decor, but towels, pillows and bed linens. The street noise was also an issue for one of us who had trouble sleeping. The Inn is located on Arsenal street & the passing traffic is surprisingly busy and loud despite the fact that the Inn faces the park. The street must be some kind of thoroughfare, b/c the traffic (while it subsided a little deep into the night), did continue at a regular pace. Perhaps a room not facing Arsenal would be better for light sleepers.

Went to a late night concert at Off Broadway and stayed here afterwards. Nicely decorated, spacious room - and I love the 1890s architecture. This part of town has so much character. The innkeeper and his dog were friendly. Will definitely stay again. Tip: if traffic noise bothers you, turn on the bathroom fan. I’m a little sensitive to noise and slept just fine.

This is an awesome place to stay. Central to Soulard Market and some fantastic restaurants. Across the street for beautiful Benton Park. The host Dan and Rosie are great host. The rooms are large with tall ceilings and everything you need for a very comfortable stay. I would highly recommend the Benton Park Inn for you next St Louis stay.

Dan made us feel at home immediately along with his dog Rosie. Loved the cozy/comfy/safe atmosphere and bed…and then the yummy breakfast to enjoy the next morning! So many great things to do and see near by. Would highly recommend anyone to stay!

Such a cute historic home. Our first time staying in a traditional bed & breakfast. Enjoyed chatting with the other guests. The inn keeper Dan is so friendly and makes you feel at home. He is an amazing cook and made us delicious breakfast! Rosie the dog is so sweet! Would stay again.

We had a fabulous experience here. We were greeted at the door by Dan and Rosie, the adorable dog. Dan was very engaging to talk to and helpful and knowledgeable of the area. Breakfasts were terrific and plentiful. The Inn was very charming and the rooms exactly as advertised. The location was close to everything and there was even free parking. Staying here really enhanced our trip to St. Louis.

My wife and I travel frequently and our stay at The Benton Park Inn was, without a doubt, one of our best experiences. The location was perfect, with easy access to all the major attractions in the city and a wonderful muti-cultural dining area only a short 10-minute drive away. The overall feel of the Inn was that of visiting family, the ones you want to visit, and Dan and his lovely dog Rosie made us feel at home the moment we walked through the front door. Our room was spacious, the bed comfortable. Dan is a master in the kitchen and our breakfasts were unique and delicious. Each morning we were able to sit with Dan and the other guests for wonderful conversations, something that you don’t often get to experience. I simply cannot recommend the Benton Park Inn highly enough, we will be back.
