Bento Moto - Sushi takeaway in Oakdale - 7017 10th St N, USA

Cute little sushi place. My favorite (and a price steal) is the $12 sushi bowl. It's a perfect lunch option! That is, if you have the time to wait😬 With 1 cook in the back and the other person running the front of house while also the sushi chef; our wait time was unnecessarily long. If they can get that time down to 10 minutes (max) rather than the 20+ minutes we waited, this would make a great little spot for a quick lunch break!

First time there, and it was amazing! A little hidden bc the surrounding businesses opened only during the day. Ordered several items off the menu and could hardly stop myself bc everything looked and sounded so good. Literally, everything we had was so delicious, flavorful, and freshly made. They even had cold chilled water in glasscan. It was super cute. The owner and host were welcoming and gave excellent service. The ambiance was charming and chill. One of my fav was the Crunchy Roll. I've tried many frm diff places but wow. This one was one of the best! I can't wait to try the Red Dragon roll next time. Highly recommend!

Pleasantly surprised at how good this place is, when most Oakdale restaurants are yuck. I think Bento Moto is the best Japanese restaurant in the East Metro! The crunchy roll we had was the BEST sushi I’ve ever had! I also really like how they’ve decorated the place.

Salmon sushi bowl, 2 bowls of Taiwan Ramen, and ebi fry curry all tasted amazing! We had this to go and ate it at home, containers were sealed good for the soup. The sushi bowl was savory and really good. The sauce for the salmon tasted sweet and soft. The curry was our favorite and the Taiwan ramen hit the spice we needed. The food was also filling, even kept the leftover curry cause it was too good. In total it was 60 dollars as well. Great experience. Get the curry and sushi bowl!!

So so delicious. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The website was really easy to use and order from. The food was great. The gyoza was tender, the meat skewers tender and flavorful. The tempura was a bit large but cooked perfect. I loved that the ramen broth came separately so the noodles were perfect. The rice was just the right amount of sticky. Honestly it was all so good. The only problem was when I was carrying it the bento tipped and some sauce got on the sushi 🍣.

After reading all the Hmong reviews I thought I'd give it a try. Boy was I wrong. Hmong ppl don't know good food bc most of them never been overseas and that was my mistake. I lived in Japan for 4 years so I expected a lot. I ordered 3 different meals and I'll say that the food here is overly salty or too sweet and not fresh at all. Service was friendly and decor was fancy but that'a about it. I should of known better. There is no good Japanese restaurant here, period.

Owner and staff gave warm, welcoming greetings. Plating was colorful and tasteful. A go to place for a quick bite or snack.

Bomb food!! Amazing quality food and really nice staff. We had the RED DRAGON ROLL (Super delicious with a little spicyness which we love!!). I had the # 1 (chicken) and my fiancé had #6 of the bento boxes. Food portions are perfect. We walked out of there full and happy 😊 Super chill environment with Japanese music playing in the background. Very friendly staff. There is a longer table where people can sit to enjoy their food. A seat for people who are waiting for their order. They also have seating along the sushi bar which is so awesome. It’s the right height for kiddos as well. It’s also the appropriate height for individuals in wheelchairs to sit by and enjoy their food. There are handicap parking right outside the restaurant. Plenty of parking available. This will be our go - to lunch place for a long time. We’ve been waiting for them to open for awhile now. So glad they are finally open. We recommend this restaurant 💯 %. Give it a try!!!
