It's a food truck that serves really great Mexican food, really quickly, with a smile 😊. Service is constantly impeccable. I'm always wanting to go here anytime I come home to Alaska. It's a craving that cannot be satiated with just any other Mexican restaurant. Maybe it's my childhood memories growing up eating Benny’s Mexican food back when they used to be across the Sears parking lot, or maybe it's just because they are that darn good.
Benny's Food Wagon, the Mexican food truck in Anchorage, Alaska, is a delightful culinary oasis that offers a unique experience, just like the unexpected twists in life, such as the collapse of the Soviet Union and my recent car trouble. The food at Benny's is a fusion of flavors that reflects the cultural diversity we encounter in our journey through life. The collapse of the Soviet Union, a historic event, is a reminder that change can happen suddenly, much like the surprise and inconvenience of my car breaking down. As I savored the delicious tacos and burritos, I couldn't help but appreciate the resilience and adaptability that life demands. The staff at Benny's were exceptionally understanding and accommodating, much like the people who navigated through the challenges of the post-Soviet era. The warm atmosphere and friendly service at the food truck were a pleasant surprise, much like the support and assistance I received when my car encountered problems. In conclusion, Benny's Food Wagon is a culinary gem that, much like the unexpected events in life, has the power to turn a challenging situation into an enjoyable experience. I highly recommend stopping by for a taste of their mouthwatering Mexican cuisine, and perhaps, like me, you'll find some meaningful connections to life's unpredictable journey.
Still Amazing. The lunch plate is well worth the money, my hubby laughed that after all thus time the soda is still just a $1. First time I ate @ Benny's I was 12 with my older brother. The lunch plate was the intro he gave me for tacos, rice, and beans. Blew my mind 🤯. High School with my then boyfriend (now hubby) had him take me there for a lunch date (yeah he looked @ me funny food truck & all), he tried it and loved it (he doesn't eat hard shell tacos mind you). Moved to the south and tried/settled for alternatives but nothing compares. Flew back home a week or so ago and took our children, claims it was ok but all of them cleaned their plates (in a freezing car - it was -1°F) lol 😆 😅. Now they are ready to have more in June. Thank you Benny's food wagon for the Amazing memories and the Delicious food that has stayed the same all these years. See you again in June 🥰🥰🥰.
Wow, just got a burrito from here not only is it absolutely not Mexican food, it’s like a little kid. Made my burrito for eight bucks? Come on guys I know you can do better than that. This is terrible. Whatever it is, it’s not Mexican food by any stretch
The people who run there are very kind, and darling people, and the food is exquisite, a 5 star must try at least once. You wont be disappointed.
This place has been a regular stop for my family for as long as I can remember. The people who own it are endlessly friendly and remember their customers and have been making amazing food for years. If you're looking for a tiny local place for food, I definitely recommend Benny's!!
One of the best hole in the wall spots around anchorage. I’ve been coming here since the 90’s with my parents. The workers are very respectful, food comes within minutes of ordering, the fried burritos with hot sauce is just delicious. I love this place.
Not sure what any reviewers that gave over one star have had from a authentic Mexican food truck but this place is really far from being good. Ordered the Asada burrito and got a rice burrito with a spoonful of unflavored meat. Plenty of rice and beans on the plate if that is considered good? I rarely throw away food but half way into it I accepted the disappointment and disposed of. My apologies for honest review as the lady who took my order was very nice. I might have caught them on an off day but will not be visiting again..
I wanted something local so I figured a food truck that served Alaskan smoked salmon tacos where the salmon was being smoked right at the food truck would fit the bill! I knew I made the right decision before I even tasted them because of the amazin
Finally found good Mexican food in Anchorage!!! The birria tacos are no joke. They werenât super busy so it took them about 6 minutes to hand me the tacos and boy they were good! So tasty and juicy. They are 3 tacos but I ate one before taking the
Really solid food, an extensive drink menu, options for vegetarians (i.e. vegetarian whole beans rather than refried beans with bacon). We had a great time. The chips and salsa are really good.
WARNING: This is NOT Mexican/American food, if thatâs your thing, thatâs fine, but you may not like this. Itâs worth noting the owner said she has owned the restaurant for 52 years!! Letâs go support her!! Her kids used to work at the restau
I was in town this December and was looking for an F45 to help maintain during the holidays. This gym welcomed me in and treated me like a member. Even offering to drive through the snow to pick me up for class Christmas Day. Iâll definitely be ba
Jay is great! He pushes you hard, but is super mindful of your body's limits. I told him about some previous injuries, and he has worked hard to help strengthen those areas, minimizing my aches and pains. My balance and stability have improved. I hav
My CrossFit Northern Exposure experience began 4 months ago. I have been extremely impressed with the knowledge levels of all the staff and especially Emily. Being almost 70 and having a number of "issues" I was guided through the WODs in such a way

First time going and will definitely not be the last! Great atmosphere! The axe masters were attentive and newbies like myself, the best corrections when needed. They teach how to throw everything they have, from ninja stars to shovels. High recommen
