One of the best outdoor seating restaurants in the Lynchburg forest area. Great radiant heaters in a enclosed deck. Amazing brunch options. High quality ingredients and a skilled staff. It's pretty special.

We come here for family dinners every couple months, and I've never been disappointed. The food is great, and the prices aren't ridiculous. We typically experience great service when we go as well. Be aware that they're relatively small and fill up quickly during prime times, so get there early. They offer kids' menus, and the servers are friendly towards my young kids, which sadly isn't always a given at restaurants.

First time there and I have no complaints! Small location but the inside is nice, we didn't have a wait, the food was delicious with huge servings and our waitress was great. Definitely recommend the nachos and their bacon jam brussel sprouts 🤤Will definitely be going back soon😊

Pricey for an OK steak. Had the rib eye, which was very tough, however seasoned well. Ceaser salad was tasty. Waitress was very attentive and helpful. I was just expecting a little more for $100, two people who don't drink alcohol and didn't have any appetizers.

First time visiting this quaint restaurant. It is very unassuming from the outside, and you could pass it in the blink of an eye. The inside is small, however they have a large patio that is partially covered. The scenery is lovely to look at, and there are cute plants everywhere (which I loved). I had the brown sugar salmon with Brussels and slaw, and my mom had a burger with garlic Spinach. Both of our dishes were somewhat bland, and my salmon lacked flavor throughout. We did have a Carmel cake for dessert, and that was phenomenal! Overall, the service was great, and the food was eh. I might come back again if I'm in the area.

Anytime we come thru VA we try to have a plan on stopping in to eat and seeing Mama Sue & Ben. Visited last night on our way home to Knoxville. Zach was great at the bar. Enjoyed talking with Melissa & Chris as well. Rose(I believe that's the correct name, forgive me if not) with your cute polka dot hairband, always a pleasure to see your smiling face and that you remember us. 😊 The New York strip was FABULOUS! Didn't get any dessert last night. Missed seeing Mama Sue, hopefully next time. Thanks Ben!!!

Notice anything weird about this picture? Yeah, thats a hex nut in my boss’ caesar salad. I recommended this place to him and his family and told him it was one of the best places to eat in lynchburg with excellent customer service. I was wrong. How does a hex nut even end up in your food? She took the salad off the bill and offered free dessert to the entire table then charged for all but one. This is embarrassing and hopefully Benjamin’s does better in the future.

Had the surf and turf pasta, turf was overcooked and chewy and that was the soupiest pasta sauce I have ever had. The wife had the crab cakes which had several pieces of cartilage and her side of garlic sautéed mushrooms was very lacking on the garlic part. Service was ok, we were the only paying customers on an early Friday night. Also I know economy is sucking but I would rather have a small increase in prices rather than have to see that I pay extra to use my credit card without a heads up at the beginning.
