Even though we had a reservation, we had to wait for a table for about 15 minutes. Because they need to include you at a table. This is understandable, of course. I can say that their pilaf is excellent. I think you should ask for extra garlic butter and soy sauce in your rice. We ordered terayaki chicken, hibachi steak and shrimp. All were perfect.

My early birthday visit was delightful. Our chef was entertaining and thoughful. The food was outstanding. This place is treasure. I've never been disappointed at the Santa Monica restaurant.

First time at this location. As usual, food was amazing, got rocky's choice, pretty much my usual order. Chef prepared food perfect, and had a good show too. It amazes me that as many times as me and the wife have eaten at Benihana, there are still chef's with tricks we haven't seen. Definitely recommend this location. Parking is a little bit tricky, but there is a lot right across the street.

I recently had the pleasure of going to benihana and I was more than impressed! The attentive staff immediately made me feel welcome as soon as I walked in the door. The chef was extremely skillful, preparing our food with artistic flare. The food was cooked perfectly to my taste and all of the ingredients were fresh. The atmosphere was lively and the typical hibachi show added to the enjoyable experience. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an exciting and delicious meal.

We LOVE this restaurant. CHANCE is the gentleman who waited on us. He was just AMAZING. The chef, FABIAN, is SUCH a great cook, and he performs GREAT tricks. Actually, we were AMAZED to see the new tricks that he performed. Also, they have a wonderful manager. Thank you JAIME!

Had a great time eating the food. Make sure to make an appointment earlier if possible. Even if reservations, it can take up to 2 hours for a table. Otherwise, an energetic environment!

AVOID THIS PLACE!! Quite literally the worst service and food I've ever had. The management doesn't care. The servers don't care. It's a giant tourist trap with bad food and even worse service. It wasn't even full! We had reservations at 6:30pm. Wasn't seated until close till 7PM. A server didn't come until 7:30PM. I would have walked out but we were there with 11 kids for my son's birthday. Tried to simplify what we were ordering asking only for fried rice, a meat, and sharing some veges. The chef didn't come out till 8PM. I had to ask the manager where our drinks were. The chef got orders wrong. We then waited forever for the check and to bring out the cupcakes we brought with us to celebrate his birthday. No one came to check on if we needed drink or water refills. We left at 9 friggin PM! I have hundreds of reviews on Google maps. This place takes the case for the worst restaurant! I told the manager about our experience, and he acted like he truly didn't care. The bill for 11 was over $500....and it was just bad. NEVER AGAIN!
