Bellissimo Grande Hotel, Trademark Collection by Wyndham - Hotel in North Stonington - 411 A & B, 411 Norwich-Westerly Rd, USA

Big bang for the buck compared to Newport and the Casinos. Rather than pay nearly a $1000 for a Friday night in Newport (we had already spent a Thursday night there for nearly $600 in a small, outdated room with a sink that backs up and a toilet that barely flushed—albeit the hotel sat in a picturesque location), or around $800 for a room at the Casino (which could not guarantee availability for a non-smoking room, unbelievable in this day and age), we chose the Bellissimo for less than $400 a night—and never looked back, thoroughly enjoying our room and stay. We had a Presidential Suite which came with a comfortable king bed, fireplace for ambiance, extra sitting area, and great bathroom with two separate sinks, large jetted hot tub, and separate modern shower. Although on the first floor, the room was quiet and clean. We were seeing a show at the casino the night we stayed, and the hotel offered several shuttle times for the 3.5 mile trip—although we decided to Uber and the wait for pick up both ways was only 10 minutes. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We checked out near checkout time at 11 am. Unfortunately, my wife took an unexpected fall that resulted in a puncture wound near her eye with lots of bleeding (as well as other scrapes and bruises). Upon going back into the hotel and the staff seeing her, they allowed us back to our room with no concern about leaving late, provided a first aid kit, and ultimately let us take a couple towels with us for her bleeding on the way to the ER. We are very grateful to the staff for their generous and kind support. We can’t comment on other amenities as we did not use them—except for coffee bar which was pretty good. In sum, in the future when we come back to this area, we plan to stay at the Bellissimo. Note, I almost didn’t write this review b/c I would like to see this hotel remain a hidden gem, but I owe it to the staff and management to share the word that this is a wonderful, reasonably priced place to stay if you don’t mind being away from the hustle and bustle of the popular places—with a caring staff as a bonus.

I am enjoying the Wyndham Rewards program. I am seeing different types of hotels in the Wyndham family. This time was the Bellissimo Grande near Foxwoods in Connecticut. Upon first glance this is a very quaint hotel. European artwork, shiny floors. We checked I late because we went to the casino first. The young male behind the counter was not very professional. We let the morning staff know about it and we were told he was training. Only been there a week. I think the training process needs to be tweaked. The presidential suite was gorgeous and spacious. We just wish that past customers treated the furniture with a little more care. Water stains and burn marks on the precious marble tops. The hallways are very long and the ice maker was a large distance away from the room. Breakfast was fantastic, I ordered the 3 pancake plate but only got two. The server was very quick to remedy this and it tasted great. It was a very nice stay, quiet when we went. The pool is tiny but I do not go in anyway. Real close to the casino and easy to drive to. This is a good place to go. Just not so sure paying extra for the presidential suite is worth it but I still might do it again. Only this time ask for the one with the whirlpool in another room.

Rooms were very neat! I didn’t get one of the super fancy rooms but it didn’t seem outdated and was super clean. I did get locked out of my room one morning and had to go to front desk to get a new key, the person working at the fun desk was super nice and just gave me a new one. Overall had a great experience, only thing I didn’t love was the huge sign in the bathroom saying that if you get even a singular noise complaint against you the hotel will just call the cops and have you escorted out of the place, which was jarring to say the least😅. Never had an issue, though.

Everything was great! My Husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the Bellissimo Grand Hotel, in North Stonington, CT. The ambiance was beautiful and the hotel was very clean. Check-in and Checkout was quick and easy. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating and the service that was provided to us was good! We especially would like to acknowledge one of the Managers of the Bellissimo Grand Hotel, Brandon, who went above and beyond to make our stay a memorable one. We also want to acknowledge Marjorie, the Operations Manager, who accommodated us with our booking and checkout. Our room was very nice and comfortable and clean. The room had a refrigerator and we appreciated that there was a microwave available for us to use on the main floor. It was good to see that the hotel had a variety of snack foods and drinks to purchase, to satisfy that, all of a sudden craven, especially in the middle of the night! Although, my Husband and I usually don't eat breakfast in the morning, it was good to know that breakfast was provided for purchase, until 11:00 a.m.. One of the best highlights, was the shuttle that transported us from the hotel to Foxwoods. This was a nice feature, because we really didn't want to drive the car, during the weekend, if we didn't need to, until it was time to checkout on Sunday! Overall, everything was good and we look forward to staying at the Bellissimo Grand Hotel again, sometime soon! We Definitely Recommend!

Positive: It was clean in the bed is comfortable Negative: We had multiple days and they did not refresh our room. They should?ve refreshed our towels and our water and the room. They stated we had to ask for that because of Covid Covid is over. Stop using that as an excuse. and there were no microwaves in room

I came with my husband to celebrate his bday and our wedding anniversary. Love that room was spacious, bed was comfortable, enough towels and good soap and other things. Plenty if light, mirrors and privacy. It was quiet and staff very friendly. We stayed at the 3rd floor. We were close to the places we wanted to sightsee better than spend $1,000 to stay in the casino. They have daily shutters to go there. Didn’t like we didn’t have data signal in the area and in the hotel but wifi was good.

The hotel was very nice! The room was big - we had 2 queen size beds and a fridge. Everything was very clean and the details ie light fixtures etc were very nice. We were on the first floor near the front desk and restaurant which was very convenient.

so we got one of the expensive rooms. It was my first time going here and I was traveling. The room was clearly dated but it was neat. The air conditioning was very clean and it smelled of bleach when we walked in, however there were areas of hair and dirt around. The furniture was scraped and dinged, there were rings on all the countertops. it may not seem like a lot but when you pay for something expensive...you want it to be spotless and give the impression of not being dirty. The TV in the bathroom, which I wouldn't need but since it was there, I tested it, and it didn't work. The light fixture was also broken and It's the little things that make a difference . I got a room with a bathtub and it did have some hair in it which was a little gross. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful but the room was a little bit shabby and it was the expensive room. This place caters to casino folks rather than travelers.
