We went to Bella Vista to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary! The view was breathtaking, the sunset over the canyon from the pool was stunning! The room was a great blend of elegant and comfort. We were given some very tasty muffins, scones and juice to go with our morning coffee poolside! The atmosphere was quiet. The owners were very friendly, visited with us and made sure we had everything we needed. We had a great time and can't wait to go back!

We absolutely loved this place.. Shortly after we arrived we saw 3 deer and a fox on the property. The scenery totally makes up for the "Continental style" breakfast.. (there are a couple of cafe's less than 10 min away that have alot of breakfast options). The view walking out of your room has to be one of the best in the Texas Hill Country. The room (#1) is very nice not too big and fancy but we are only there to change clothes and sleep so more than accommodating. Large walk in shower and the sink is outside the bathroom so you and your significant other can get ready without being in each others way.. Great Outdoor common area for sitting with other guest or just enjoying the view with a nice adult beverage. We can't wait to come back this summer and enjoy the pool. There is also a shower and sink outside where you can rinse off after swimming or hiking around Paradise Hills (that's the name of the subdivision ). Max was very nice when we arrived and showed us where everything was. *** I'm SO HAPPY we didn't pay attention to the negative reviews given to this place. I guess some people are just extremely HIGH MAINTENANCE. We can't wait to share this place with our friends.***

First off - The photos on the website are wrong. Bella Vista is actually Portofino and vise versa. The really beautiful view off the pool (albeit small pool) is SHARED between two guest rooms. This wasn't clearly stated on the website. We we're upset by this as this is where we planned to spend the majority of our time. The "Bella Vista" room looks directly onto the pool with glass doors...So you'd better be dressed at all times in your room as anyone in the pool sees everything in your room. There is no privacy whatsoever. Good bye romance. There is no kitchenette, and the room is really painfully small and I live in a 1100 sq ft apt. (The only way I would recommend this place is if you rent out both rooms.) We asked the owner of the house if there was a communal area and he was highly offended. We explained that we did not realize we were sharing the pool with another couple and he accused of us wanting to skinny dip and really lost his temper on us. Weird. He had 2 yippy dogs that didn't shut up for total of 10 minutes that we were there. Would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

We had three wonderful nights at this beautiful 8 acre home. I have never been to a bed-and-breakfast that was so perfectly thought out. Everything was accounted for and accommodated for. A huge room for meetings with a refrigerator and a coffee maker and a beautiful enclosed porch for breakfast and what breakfasts indeed. The owners are a delightful couple that are world traveled and very interesting. Walking the 8 acres was a delight. Chickens roam around and the eggs are wonderful. I would love to go back. Very clean and cared for.

The place is nice but I think it's highly priced for what all it entails. A B&B typically serves breakfast but this one only provides 3 muffins and 2 croissants for 2 people and a 3- night stay. Also, I cut my heel on the side of the pool... All provided was white towels. With no first-aid kit available a white towel was my only option. I then tried to clean out the stains, with no luck. Although, hydrogen peroxide will work. I was informed AFTER I got home via email that I left the room in a "horrible mess" this is after cleaning up, including having the trash tied, ready to go, room items straightened and soiled linens placed in proper container. The resort emailed me stating they would be charging me $75 for the supposed damage. I emailed them back explaining the situation and received no response, nor proof as to what the money would be used to pay for. Already paying over $400 for a 3 night stay and a few muffins... This particular situation ruined my experience. Luckily, my bank understood and refunded me the money. I will not be returning to Bella Vista.

This was my first time at a Bed and Breakfast and I’m a city girl. I don’t do bugs at all. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised. It’s a bit out of Wimberly and Wimberly is rustic. But once you step inside, it is lovely and you kind of forget you are in the “country”. Beautifully decorated with antiques and unique finds. You could spend a day just looking at the house. The accommodations were comfortable. And the food indescribably delicious. We were there for a scrapbooking retreat. The facilities there are well thought out. The owner a crafty person herself has thought of everything. I plan to go back. I didn’t see a bug inside or outside for that matter. The place is well maintained. They have chickens, ducks, etc. But you can see them from the screened in back porch, which has a seating area complete with a swing and we ate breakfast there each morning. The price is reasonable and prepare to be spoiled. They have accommodations for friends, couples or families. Sorry I did not take more pictures. Look up their website. I almost forgot... they have a listing of all the stuff happening in the area while you are there to help you decide what to see and do while in the quaint town. |

the pool was the highlight. the room was less than average. there was one sink available inside the bedroom where you can brush your teeth and fix your coffee, yuck! you don't see pics of the bedrooms available because it really is just a hodge podge of furniture done in haste. breakfast was muffins, coffee & tea bags in a basket. the directions mention to bring your own charcoal but they do not have a grill to use. less expensive than other B&B's but for a reason.

Room is $135 a night stayed only 1 out of the 2 nights. The bed is the hardest thing I've ever slept on, my back could not take it. You are given 4 muffins and some juice for your breakfast for 2 people for 2 mornings. There is no DVD player as the description says. The tv is an 18" flat screen that you can not see from the bed. To say that it is semi private is an understatement. You walk by the other room to get to #2 and there are glass doors, so if the shades aren't drawn you see quite a lot. The homeowner lives on site upstairs and has a dog or two. The dog like to scratch, and the homeowner walks around a lot. There is only one thermostat for both the downstairs rooms. The view is very nice and so is the pool but based on that I will never go back to this B&B again. There were also a few bad reviews in the guest book in the room.
