This is an Akron gem. They have a unique, Serbian menu with phenomenal food. The chicken paprikash I got there was the best I've ever had. And the fried chicken is fantastic -- more bready and savory than crispy. The sides are tasty too. They also have some nice imported beers. The only thing is that the meal is pricier than most places, but the quantities are generous and the quality is worth it.

We’ve been coming to Belgrades for years after seeing Michael Symon talk about it being his favorite on TV. It gives you such a nostalgic feeling being inside the restaurant and the food and service is wonderful. My husband loves the chicken backs, they are so crispy and fried to perfection in lard. The hot sauce, paprikash, and coleslaw are wonderful. Don’t miss out on this delicious restaurant! 🍗

I have been going with my family since I was a child to Belgrades and continue to do so. Yes, it is more expensive than it was years ago...lol. I love their chicken and hot sauce. Sometimes, when you order chicken out, especially white breast meat, it is dry. HOWEVER, Belgrades is the best. The chicken breading is delicious, and when you bite into the chicken, it is very moist and full of juices. Not a bit dry!!!! The hot sauce is rice with kind of a tomato based sauce, which is spicy....so good. Also, they have their own fresh cut French fries! Assorted desserts, and also carry fish and other entrees, but I always order their chicken. A dinner entree comes with 3 side dishes. Growing up in Akron, my mom and dad would take us their after church on Sundays. I was so thrilled when they opened the one in Green on Rt. 241, but I'm VERY disappointed that it is now closed! If you like chicken, I recommend trying Belgrades. The chicken dinners come in assorted, all white, all dark. It is a bit pricey, but what isn't anymore and it is well worth it! The atmosphere inside is very family oriented, the service is good, and of course, the chicken dinners are delicious!!!

Yesterday was my first time here eating at "Belgrades Gardens"considering I just moved here from Albuquerque,and recently moved back.I'm familiar with the other "Chicken Houses" growing up and I come to visit my Mother who resides in Ohio and the other places Imo have gone down hill and one place doesn't even serve backs, my favorite part! I was very impressed with the lady who took our carry out and I could see the kitchen was emasculate!! Something that is important to me considering I worked in the food service industry all my life. The restaurant has a home style decor with "chicken figurines" beautifully displayed! The food portions are huge but what impressed me the most was the nostalgia of eating this delicious food I remember as a child! Please keep it up!

I've been going to Belgrade with all my family since I was in great school. It's been a destination for us for the best chicken. The lately the service has Been terrible. 3 times now. We were seated in waited 10 to 15 minutes to be waited on. People that Upcoming after us we're waiting on before us. When we brought it up the waitresses were Rude to us. Most currently it was on 10/05/2023. I don't understand how the service got so bad and why we've been treated so farally but it's extremely disappointing. It was one of the favorite places for us to go. And we always took other people with us. Every time we go we spend a lot of money. Somebody explained to me. Why the services got out of control? And there's no one there to take care of the customers. One there you take care of the customer experience. Please give me a reason to come back.

They say, "The best chicken in the world..." By the time I was done eating, I was convinced that I ate the best chicken lunch I have ever had in my life. Highly recommend for chicken lovers.

Bad bad service for a chicken house that sells chicken and a pack of lies... When I go walk in here, I smell chicken death, and long story short, it's an uncomfortable smell.... Service is bad and mean.... Our food never got to me. Me and my mom walked out after 45 minutes of waiting. Mom ordered a BLT, I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich, no food, just drinks. 1☆

I’m sorry. I don’t have many good things to say about this highly praised and yet boring and flavorless chicken. It was hot, great temperature to serve food at. That’s good! The cole slaw was fantastic. Zingy and vinegary. The fries were similar to a great fair fry. The waitress was friendly as well as helpful and they serve pie. Those are also good things. The building decor is run down. I’m certain it was cute and charming once, but newspaper articles from way back when lose their value years later. Garage sale chickens everywhere. Loved the floral placemats. I can’t even describe the odd old building smell that the entire place smells of. There wasn’t a food smell to it. It was more, odd humid basement smell.
