Fantastic get away, the staff is excellent, a great place for a young family as the ranch is made up like a yOld West town. I stayed in the bunkhouse which was small but comfortable. They do offer individual rooms which I would prefer on my next visit. Quiet & peaceful.

We stayed here for one night on our way to Dallas and the experience exceeded all of our expectations! From Casey at the reception to the owner who gave us a very nice tour, we enjoyed our short stay. The ranch is huge and has plenty of activities to try. The cabin was very quaint and the beds were comfortable. Some of the best hospitality I've ever received!

I absolutely love going out here for my highlights...Donnela is just a precious woman and I have come to look forward to seeing her each time I go. The wait time for scheduling is exceptional and she always fits me in super fast; this past time she made room for me with a days notice. I'm very pleased with the quality of the work she does both in cuts and highlights that I've been getting in the past few years there. Finding the place the first time is really a matter of trusting your GPS lol... But I love the drive I think it's so beautiful out there.

This was one of the most baffling places we've ever stayed; and we travel a great deal. We liked it, but....l'm just gonna list the pros and cons and people can decide for themselves.||Pros:|- Room was beautiful, spacious, fairly clean, with updated bathrooms.|- Beautiful, well-maintained decor.|- Fantastic tub.|- Nice, rain shower head.|- Nice balcony with beautiful view.|- Fun, little old west town set up.|- Plenty of room to walk around outside.|- Peaceful and quiet; felt safe.|- Keurig coffee machine with Starbucks coffee pods in rooms.|- Refrigerator in room.|- Large, flat-screen TV in room with DirecTV.|- Free wifi.|- Staff is very personable, and very, very friendly, and very helpful. We enjoyed visiting with them.|- We didn't have to ask for fresh towels; they asked and brought them.|- We had one issue and they were on it immediately, and had it fixed.|- We really enjoyed sitting out on the balcony to drink our coffee.|- In it's heyday, this place must have been a beautiful sight to behold.||Cons:|- Expensive considering the current state of the buildings and grounds.|- Cafe is shuttered|- No microwave in room.|- Pulled out one of the trundle beds and apparently sheets had not been changed - a false fingernail and dried "body fluid" - thankfully, we didn't need that bed. No, we didn't say anything - it was about 11 at night and staff not there, so we just pulled off those sheets to make sure they get changed, and closed the trundle bed back up. All the other beds were clean.|- The outside is in varying states of disrepair - there were broken/moldy lawn furniture in various places, old disconnected A/C unit outside of one of the buildings; garbage cans with old garbage - top of one was full of water and cigarette butts. |- Trash scattered here and there (to be fair, there was also a 1500 person mud run going on in the adjacent field, so...)|- Parts of the grounds are overgrown with weeds.|- The majority of the buildings/windows were covered with accumalated dirt/dust/dead bugs on the outside.|- All the outside tables had either dirt, dust or dead bugs.|- Outside walkways and door rugs looked at if it had not been swept, or cleaned with a blower, for a very long while - accumulated dirt in various places.|- I'm not sure what happened to this place, but it looked as if years ago, in the middle of a very busy day, that all activity had suddenly came to a screeching halt and everything was then left just as it was.|I took a bunch of photos of all pros and cons, but no point in posting. We have very mixed feelings about the place.||Thing to know before you go:|- Rooms have tankless water heaters so water has to run a bit before getting hot.|- Dollar Store is about 2 miles up the road.|- No source of food located on the ranch.|- No microwave in room.||My opinion:|This place could be fabulous with just a little TLC and grounds upkeep. The room seemed to be very updated, with new toilet, shower, etc, so I'm hoping they are in the process of trying to| get it up and running again, and just haven't got to the outside yet.|It made me sad to envision what it must have been compared to it's current state. We travel to the area once a month.|I would love to stay there again, but we just can't justify the price given it's current state.

Overnight stay while driving cross-country. We may not have seen the Ranch at its best. We were the only guests staying that night. Office not staffed when we checked in at 6:00 pm but room keys, map and payment receipt waiting for us upon our arrival. We were the only guests on the property for the night. When driving down to the cabin area, we did meet one staff person. He led us to our cabin and provided ice for us. We appreciated that! Our cabin was decorated in the theme of the Old West. 4-poster bed and big rolltop desk. Bathroom with clawfoot tub (no shower) and toilet with tank above it near the ceiling. Good AC unit, nice satellite TV and good WiFi reception. No bedside lamp on the bedside table on one side of the king bed. The housekeeping needs to be improved. Our cabin (room plus bathroom) needed a good deep cleaning. Dusty baseboards, dusty framed pictures hung on the walls, and dusty ceiling fan blades. The window curtains dragged on the floor by the door, and when we moved them, several small live spiders ran out from underneath! Our bathroom sink did not have any hot water-when you turned on the hot water faucet-nothing came out! We did not try the tub so am unsure if that had hot water. We also had an empty container of liquid soap in the bathroom. We do not plan to return due to the fact the room and service quality did not match the price we paid for the room.

Such a great weekend getaway! Pretty much had the place to ourselves due to the time of year. Scott did a great job of assisting us with clay pigeon shooting, and Natalie was an awesome trail ride guide. Highly recommend for a country-themed vacation!
