Beasley's Chicken + Honey - Chicken restaurant in Raleigh - 237 S Wilmington St, USA

We previously lived in Raleigh, and this is my son's favorite restaurant. So, we had to return for lunch! For starters, we enjoyed a Southern staple, pimento cheese. Then we each chose a mix of dishes for lunch: eggs benedict, fried chicken and fries, and meatloaf with mashed potatoes. Perfection as usual! The only suggestion is to add shakes from Chuck's to complement the menu (we appreciated the sauce from Chuck's for the fries).

The food was good. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The atmosphere was lively and popping! There was a crowd the whole time I was there. There's light music playing in the background, but you may not hear it with all the merriment going on. There's a parking lot next door that is reasonable. I was charged $2.00 for 1-2hrs. The Apple Streusel Biscuit Bread Pudding is to die for!!! I would definitely "slap my mama" for another bite!

A FIVE STAR late Sunday lunch at Beasley's Chicken & Honey in Downtown Raleigh, NC! Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. The feast included Fried Chicken & Honey; Carolina Reaper Boneless Thigh Sandwich w/hot chili oil and pickles; awesome sides of collard greens, mashed potatoes, and coleslaw. Top-shelf iced tea and coffee. No room for deserts. Back home for a Sunday afternoon nap... SEE PHOTOS OF THE ONLY ITEMS REMAINING THAT WILL BE CENTERPIECES FOR OUR DINNER TONIGHT!

I have visited this located a few times and have had the best experience each time. I recently went when another restaurant I wanted to try ran out of food so I said “you can’t go wrong with Beasley’s” and that still remains true. The staff is always so sweet! The menu really does cater to all. I opted out for the chicken and waffles this time and got the mac n cheese and the creamed collards. Now I have never had me no creamed collards but babyyyyy! I ate the whole cup FIRST and took my chicken home! SO GOOD! The pimento Mac- there is none like it! It’s so good with the collards too! I don’t need to say much about the chicken because ima get me 3 wings everytime!!!! Offering a wide array of southern delicacies, this place packs in the flavor … and the people. Brunch goes until 3 on the weekends and the wait can be up to an hour. We got there just before brunch service ended and there was still a 20 minute wait. Well worth it though…even without the brunch menu available there was still plenty of mouth watering dishes to choose from. We each ordered a chicken breast, Toby got the waffle with his. The chicken was delicious, everything I want in southern style fried chicken. Crispy on the outside and juicy inside. The waffle was one of the best I’ve ever had. Truly. Crispy yet fluffy, you could eat it without the syrup. For sides we shared the Pimento Mac & Cheese Custard. As the name implies, this is good old-fashioned baked mac & Cheese with an egg and cheddar base. The use of Pimento cheese really made it scrumptious. Our other side was Cheese Grits Fries: they take congealed cheesy grits, slice it up then roll it in cornmeal and deep fry them. So amazing. Served with malt aioli and chow-chow

This was such an amazing experience. Every single part of it. The food, the wait staff, the atmosphere. Any time I’m in town. I will come back here. Bring your friends. Bring your family. They will not let you down. The reunion was delicious.

Pretty good not perfect but I feel like if I went again it would be better. Chicken was slightly burned everything was very hot except the biscuit was slightly cold. I can tell that if it was executed better it would have been really good and it probably is most of the time so I'm going to come back. The server was really nice.

This is the best chicken I ever had! The sides are amazing! Hands down my new favorite place! Parking across the street and kid friendly. No stairs so all can join! But the food takes the cake. I ate it all and for the photo. Got chicken and waffles, colored greens, Mac and cheese.
