Bear & Bottle - American restaurant in Madison - 601 N Sherman Ave, USA

I wasn't sure what to expect but I'm glad I stopped in for lunch. The prices seem a tad high but once you get your dishes, you'll see that it's actually quite reasonable. No complaints about the quality of the food and the quantity was perfect for a filling lunch with a few leftovers. If you're on the fence, I'd say it's absolutely worth stopping in! There's also a great selection of bears and wines with mixed drinks as well, including a few NA options (the fizzes are tasty!).

Cool place! Stopped for the start of our date night for drinks and dinner. Beers and cocktails were good. The food was good, I'll probably pick something different the next time. Flies were annoying, but that's what happens when you have open doors. We will be back!

Omg! Just ate lunch at Bear & bottle… their grilled walleye was off the charts delicious. Perfectly cooked with a beautiful Cajun spice! The coleslaw was delicious, and I upgraded from fries to a cup of cioppino. I could not have asked for a better meal. The service was great… Our server was attentive, and always knew when I had food in my mouth 😂! The atmosphere inside the restaurant in on the patio is wonderful! Beautiful windows, open air spaces, aided by several roll up glass wall doors that they keep open during warm weather Parking is relatively easy in the mini mall parking lot where the bear and bottle rear entry is… Street parking may be a little difficult.

This beauty right here! The picture doesn't do it justice. The California Chimichanga is a massive work of art. AND IT'S DELICIOUS. You're going to want to share or get a doggie bag. All the goodness of that crispy-outside-tender-inside tortilla, the beans, corn, Pico de gallo, steak, and those FRIES! Impressive 1st visit to Bear & Bottle.

I love the rotating menu this place offers. They always have fancy cocktails with something delicious to go down with it. The staff is friendly and always willing to chat or offer a smile. The drink prices can add up fast, so be careful! Other than that, I've always been pleased with my experience here.

We LOVE Bear & Bottle! Our go-to for a quick bite and a warmer after Badger Hockey games on our way home. Service is amazing and the street corn chicken tacos are amazing! 🔥♥️😁

So good! I had the Mexican Street Corn Chicken Tacos (lots of lime and a perfectly seasoned sauce). He had the Slammin' Salmon Cobb Salad (with seared and blackened salmon, huge pieces of crunchy bacon, etc). Really yummy! Roller doors to bring the outside in. Casual but classy atmosphere. Better than what you expect for pub food. Nice representation of craft brews. Server was attentive, knowledgeable, sweet. We'll be back.

Fridays are way much more than fish fries. Pescatarian options are abundant, unique, and delicious on Fridays. The regular menu is also incredibly versatile that caters to many different tastes. Very consistent kitchen. Staff here is always super friendly and the place has a really nice vibe. Try the deviled eggs to start off, and make sure you save room for dessert on the weekends.
