Beacon Pointe on Lake Superior - Hotel in Duluth - 2100 E Water St, USA

Wow! I mean … wow. This is the place to stay in Duluth. I’ve stayed many other places & this is my favorite. The views are beautiful, the rooms are very spacious, new, clean & super cozy! Tons of amenities like a sauna, indoor pool, hot tub & a gorgeous patio area. The staff were so kind and helpful. The complimentary popcorn bar & lemonade in the lobby was so cute too! My kids felt so cool getting their own. Cherry on top, tons of snacks for purchase & last minute items you may have forgotten to bring!

WOW. I have stayed at other upscale places in Canal Park, but this is a whole new level. The rooms are pristine - everything is like brand new. Super cute lobby area with tons of snacks and items like toothbrushes etc that guests may have forgotten. Plus, in the lobby there is a popcorn bar with complimentary lemonade. Very fun extras! Also has a really nice indoor pool with a hot tub and sauna. Gorgeous sitting area outside looking at the lake with a fire pit and plenty of seating. Best place to stay in Duluth by far.

This place is like the lakeside romantic paradise you can imagine it would be. The rooms were modernized and cozy. The staff was super friendly. There is an underground garage that you can park in and have access to the hotel. The view alone is magnificent, but having a balcony view.....you have to experience it to believe how amazing it truly is. I won't be staying at any other locations when visiting Duluth. I've stayed at Beacon Pointe twice now and both times it was hard to leave it was that great. It's peaceful and tranquil, just over all a must have experience. If thinking of watching fireworks in Duluth but don't want to be in a huge crowd, this resort is perfect. The video I took does NOT do it justice, it makes the fireworks appear smaller than they looked in person.

I have stayed at Beacon Pointe many times with my family and we keep returning because it is such great place! The rooms are very clean and attractively decorated. The beds are comfortable, the hallways were quiet, and it has an incredible view of Lake Superior. I loved the popcorn and lemonade in the lobby-that was a fun, nice touch! We’ll be back again!

View was excellent. Convenient to many attractions. The room smelled like mildew. Staff was helpful and friendly. The "2nd room" was dark, bare and and scary (the children refused to sleep there as they deemed it "haunted"). We could not tell if the carpet was old, dirty, or just a poor selection. The bathtub next to the bed was weird and the coffee station was not well supplied. The room was nothing like the photos. For the price, I will try another place next time. Wondered if our senior discount played into this room assignment.

Great place by the lake. Quiet from the inside. Pray for quiet neighbors when you're on the patio. It can vary. The lake side has good views. The fire pit and marshmallow kits were a bonus and fun for the kids. Mental note to self to spend more days here to fully use the amenities. Used the weight room -- good for a quick workout. Parking is below the apartments. One thing we discovered was that once you enable the mobile keys, the physical keys no longer work. But you need the physical keys to open the garage. No stars taken off; this is a new system they're trying out to make life easier. I am sure it will be fine soon enough.

Beautiful location, doesn't get any better than this. Right on the shores of Superior, great view of ships coming and going, great view of the lift bridge. Right next to a beautiful trail! We had a few issues with our rooms and the pool and hot tub were down our entire stay which was a huge bummer. Management worked with us and did their best to accommodate us, we had to move rooms on our last night. Things happen. We were on the main level and the patios were really nice, the nice looking blue chairs tho really aren't comfortable! But the beds were very nice and the soaking Jacuzzi tubs were also very, very nice! They had a hot cocoa bar that was delicious and some nice items for breakfast. Everything was very clean and spacious. We were above a garage door for a few nights and it did wake me up a few times so if you're a light sleeper like me, try to be away from the garage doors. They have nice darkening shades in the rooms so that was great. Fireplaces worked great and made it nice and cozy at night. Overall, it was very nice and we hope to return again!

What a gem! Beacon Pointe has rooms that are exceptionally comfortable and clean. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The views of the lake, access to many parks and trails was great. We stayed during the Grandma's Marathon weekend and were thrilled to receive wonderful gift bags from the hotel upon check-in. The underground parking was a great amenity which would be fantastic during cold, Duluth winter months. We'll for sure be back!
