Thank you Heather and Mike for making our weekend getaway so memorable. We enjoyed the breakfast banter with hosts and other guests, and wished we could bring Mike's incredible good cooking home with us. When we needed to miss breakfast on the last morning due to a late departure, they had a to go breakfast picnic waiting on the counter for us. Above and beyond hospitality. And the location is supreme. We did early morning as well as sunset walks on the beach. Great restaurants and ice cream within walking distance. We'll be back!

Mike and Heather are by far the best hosts we've ever had the pleasure of having. Each morning they make a delicious breakfast and serve all the guests with different coffees, teas and whatever they've whipped up that morning. Heather is very entertaining and is always engaged with the guests and Mike is a fantastic cook. The location is about 20ft from an access point to the beach and about a 15 minute walk to the Carolina beach boardwalk. The rooms are clean and tidy and the checkout process is also very easy. This is our 2nd year here and if you get cramped easy I would suggest the larger room as it has a separate bedroom, living room and bathroom while the smaller rooms are a bedroom and bathroom.

My wife and I stayed for two nights. The house hotel is very close to the beach (2 or 3 minutes' walking). The breakfast is in style and serving some pretty good coffee. However, I think most people like to know why only two starts are given for the review - when I told Mike that there is a gap of about a few inches at the bottom of the bedroom door, which is connected to the hall way directly, he just replied proudly that the hotel was built at 1946. Yes, that's a good and decent history to know about. But, please answer your customer's concern regarding privacy and possible improvement. I won't return until the large gap got filled or covered.

Heather gave me a warm greeting and made me feel like a long lost cousin! The Spring Room, downstairs and closest to the breakfast room was my home away from home. Bright, cheerful, elegant, and beautifully decorated, complete with an adorable bathroom and walk-in shower. I enjoyed the common areas and the short walk to the beach. Oh, and the BREAKFAST! See the pictures I have posted. Delicious and nutritious. I only stayed one night but I felt as if I had been rejuvenated by a lengthier stay. Hesitant to stay here? Don’t be. Go for it! I would definitely come back to this wonderful place with the wonderful people. Thank you!

We had a fun, pleasant stay here with our dogs. The small cabins are simple but had everything we needed plus some luxurious extras. We loved the local coffee beans with a grinder and coffee fixings. Good kitchen supplies for cooking. The bed was comfy with high quality linens. There is excellent internet service, Netflix, Hulu & so on. The cabin is very clean & there is quick access to the beach. There are games & books for rainy days. There are some basic toiletries. The dogs appreciated the treats!

We had such a wonderful time at Beacon House. The breakfast was so delicious and creative each morning, and was the perfect start to our day. My wife made things difficult because I have some dietary restrictions, and they accommodated me wonderfully! It was so nice to have that local access in a new place, and it really felt like staying as a guest in a friends home. The access to the beach was super close and convenient. We would 100% recommend this true BNB over the other type which has gained popularity recently because of the personal touches, local knowledge and delicious breakfasts. Can't wait to visit again!

I have traveled solo to Carolina Beach each year since 2016. I have always stayed at the Beacon House Inn B&B. The rooms are very comfortable, and I prefer either the Romance Suite or the Suite Bird because it allows me to spread out between two spaces. The beds are super comfortable, and the artisan breakfast prepared by Mike each morning is scrumptious! Just across the road is a public beach access. I enjoy a glass of wine each evening while sitting on one of the two porches. The owners, Heather and Mike, go out of their way to make guests feel welcome! Beacon House Inn is truly my very favorite vacation destination. As a solo traveler, I feel very safe and secure there. Great restaurants are close by and both Heather and Mike offer expertise in things to do, places to see, and great food options. I’m already planning my next trip there! I’ll continue to go as long as I’m able!

Our stay at the Beacon House was nothing short of absolutely amazing. This was my and my husband's first experience with a B&B and I could not possibly be happier that it was with Mike and Heather! They are so passionate about what they do in the hospitality industry and it shows 100%. Mike, my husband, and I could easily have talked for days about our love of cooking! Jeanne also cooks in the mornings with Mike and she was fantastic--so friendly and accommodating! The breakfasts were wonderful and I left there feeling so inspired for what I would make at home. Totally redefined my go-to ideas for weekend breakfasts. The inn is quiet, lovely, and a perfect short stroll to the beach. We stayed in the Traveler room and it was a very cozy room at the back of the house. The bed had a super fluffy comforter at the foot of it which literally became my best friend since my husband likes to keep the room so chilly at night. I also really liked that we had access to a communal fridge in the upstairs hallway where we were able to store our fruits and water bottles. We may have accidentally left some ice packs in the freezer section, but I guess those can just be a surprise for another guest! :) I absolutely plan to stay with Mike and Heather every time we visit Carolina Beach from now on. There is no other place I would rather be.

Where my dream started. It’s all because a boy asked me on a date and he took me to this exact spot 8 years ago. Bbq burgers on the beach and watched a full moon rise! You could drive all the way down back then and it was much cheaper! Fast forward

Great location. And a good deal. The old-school 2nd-floor 2-BR suite was very clean. Nice view of Carolina Lake. Short walk to the beach. No complaints. Would/will do it again. Mary runs a tidy ship.

Best run business in the area. Beyond efficient. Small breakfast house with delish home-cooked meals. Fresh and well prepared southern breakfast along with many new school options. Grits were among the best I've ever had. And I eat them several times
