Beachcomber Resort and Villas - Hotel in Pompano Beach - 1200 S Ocean Blvd, USA

This resort was very nice, staff was super friendly you kinda forget that you are in Florida. My only feedback is about the room we were in. The AC temperature was not comfortable, it only let you lower it to 68 and because there was an air duct right above the thermostat, it would turn off very quickly. Also the floors were not clean in our room. When we arrived there was a lot of sand. Like they didn’t vacuum the floors in there. Other than that, we loved it.

Hidden gem in Pompano beach! The hotel is right on the beach, so you just take a few steps to enjoy the water and sand. My room was located in a corner, and it was huge! Had a kitchenette (no microwave), walk-in closet, and 2 balconies. There are a couple of restaurants and you can order drinks from your beach chair. A short drive will bring you to numerous other restaurants and other activities. Really great place to stay.

We stayed in room 807 which had awesome views of the city, main pool as well as the ocean! The room was clean and had just what we needed. We will definitely return! We love South Florida and usually stay at a larger hotel chain,but now I think we have found our new spot! Camilla was great when my wife called and made the reservations. Valet was prompt with bringing our car when needed. The hotel has an amazing smell throughout their ventilation system, which was a pleasant surprise. If you want to be near the hustle and bustle, but not in the hustle and bustle.. Check them out

BEWARE When I attempted to check in at the hotel on August 31, 2024 the hotel wanted me to pay an additional fee of $45 per night for their resort fee and gave me to bands. I told them I was not going to use the resort and was told it was a mandatory fee. I gave them the wrist bands back and said if I don't have a wrist band it is obvious I cannot enter their resort and should not be charged. He told me that when I booked it was written that I was subject to additional fees which includes parking and a resort fee. I responded since I do not have a car will I be charged and he responded no. I said I am not going to give you my credit card to bill me for the resort and he responded it it is mandatory. My other point is that Beachcomber billed me upfront for my mandatory hotel fee in the amount of $356.13 on my American Express card. However, if the resort fee is a mandatory fee, then it should have been billed along with my hotel fees in the amount of $90.00. So obviously, it is not a mandatory fee but a hidden cost your hotel uses to swindle money out of your customers whether they use the resort or not. The wrist bands substantiates that a person without the bands cannot enter the resort. I will be submitting this information to the Better Business Bureau, as well.

I always hesitate to write reviews for "hidden gems", but I can't help myself. This place is amazing. The rooms were renovated recently, the food is great, but the ambiance is incredible. Locals hack: you can get a day pass for the pool/beach which is amazing! It's also a great place for a staycation for locals.

Great views. Oceanfront is actually oceanfront here. The views are amazing and you can hear the ocean waves from your room. The restaurant has great food. In room dining options are pretty good as well. Chair and umbrellas are provided and the beach area is a private environment.

What a great little resort this is! Nice location easy to get to. Very friendly staff, very nice comfy rooms, lovely pools and easy beach access. Nice restaurant for breakfast and ocean front bar was a nice place to relax with a drink. We will definitely be going back.

The only positive thing I can say about this resort is its proximity to the beautiful ocean. When trying to reach the front desk no one answered the phone and this occurred each time we tried. The bathroom in our hotel room was horrible, like an ancient cave. The loungers by the ocean were in horrible disrepair. They had the audacity to charge a $40 resort fee. What a joke. We will not go back.
