Location is incredible as it sits directly on the south shore of Lake Tahoe. The property and all facilities are dated but yet still comfy and very quiet. Staff was friendly, helpful and very approachable. They even provided a quick personalized walk around tour of the property upon check-in.
Very nice unit with full kitchen, comfortable furniture and views plus direct lake access that cannot be best. Clean, well maintained. It is within a ten minute drive to state line and four casinos, but we were very happy to spend time on our patio enjoying the splendid view. Our unit had direct access to the beach, a 15 foot or so distance. The staff was helpful and friendly. We would definitely look forward to a return visit
Beachcomber was a fantastic stay for our family. Right on the Lake! Easy access. Maintenance was on hand daily to deal with the heavy snow and ice challenges...to keep it safe. Highly recommend. I would stay again.
Family friendly. Calm and relaxing, with multiple places to see nearby. The view of the lake can't be beat.
This is a funky older place right on the lake. The location could not be better. While the complex suffers from some deferred maintenance, we enjoyed our unit which allowed us to step off our lanai/ patio right onto a small beach and into the lake. The lanai/ patio is large and great for people and sunset watching. The units have full kitchens and plenty of BBQs for guests to use. Right next door is a nice park where you can rent water toys like kayaks, SUPs, and the like. Overall great little place near downtown South Lake Tahoe.
Great lakeside resort. I had read previous reviews about unit W and how people were displeased with the lack of a balcony and lake view. I have to disagree. We found a discounted rate and actually expected to get that room because of it. The room was clean and spacious and because most of the other units have balconies, we had the deck downstairs to ourselves to watch the sunset and have a cocktail. It was delightful. The location is great as well. Far enough from the casinos to actually enjoy the lake.
One of the lifts has been broken for 3 years. It is a hassle for handicap owners and guests. Staff said it's not repairable and they won't get a new one. 3 years of trying to come up with a solution is too long.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time looking out on Lake Tahoe from the living room and the lakefront patio! The staff, particularly Eileen in the office, was so helpful and friendly. The facility had convenient parking and all kinds of extras like movie DVD's to borrow, hot tubs, sauna, game room, BBQ grilling areas. Our one bedroom unit was very clean and comfortable. The location next to a public park was a bonus as well. The bike paths were easily accessible from here. Nice!

I have been a time share owner at Lake Tahoe Vacation Resort since 2011. I have been happy with my location but never the service we were promised. Several times one our reservation we were told the room was not available and we were sent to a differ
Newly renovated rooms are awesome, and the location is easy walking distance to heavenly chairlift. Also the valley parking system worked well and way included in the resort fee. Want much atmosphere for what we thought would be a ski week but maybe
The Mt. Tallac trail is an amazing trail to hike in Lake Tahoe. It isn't easy, about 4.5 miles from the trail head to the summit with about 3,300 feet of elevation gain. The second half of the trail is mostly all rock and is very steep in parts. The
The place is really nice, the water is crystal clear but very cold. It's worth it to pay the $5.00 fee to see this beautiful place. In the middle of it there's an old house, scary but beautiful.
Went with my daughter and husband and came from the heavenly line since the wait at the resort was 2 hours! They helped us right away and we were able to get all the equipment we needed in a reasonable time frame. The staff are super friendly and acc
Took this trail to go to Cascade Falls. It's flat for the first 5 mins or so and then becomes rocky and risky at the corners. There is some construction work going on in the area so they have put up temporary boards marking the trail. Good job! It
