Beach Terrace Motor Inn - Motel in Wildwood - 3400 Atlantic Ave, USA

I was there last weekend and spent 4 days for Rolling Stones convention and I was totally disappointed in all sorts of aspects at a hotel. When I went to go to check in cuz I was sharing a room with someone the inept front desk manager told me that I would have to pay the rest of the bill before I was able to check in now my friend was in New York 4 hours away so I waited in the lobby from 10:00 in the morning till for in the afternoon. I politely asked where the nearest restroom was figured they'd have one in the lobby they did not The bar restaurant whatever it's called next door they were closed so I couldn't use that bathroom so I had to go down to the boardwalk and use the bathroom down there. When my friend finally showed up we were very dismayed that there was no kitchenette in there like she had requested like she had done for the last 15 some odd years The room was definitely under construction and shouldn't have been rented out. I say this having formerly worked in the hotel industry but wait this story gets much better. The hot tub didn't have any hot water at all it was cold and it was disgusting when I got out of it I should have taken a picture because there was just a residue a black film in there I can't think of when it was washed and I went there every day to look at it and it wasn't cleaned at all. One of the Jets was not blowing water inside the pool is more or less like a fountain but I figured hey when in Rome do as the Romans do so I just bared and enjoyed it not really cuz the cold water was horrible. There was visible mold in the bathroom and the power in the place went out at least twice that I know about one time stranded about nine of us in an elevator and all though they did rescue us in the elevator after about 12 minutes it was still very annoying. I realized that money is hard to come by The prices are going up but this place is really need some renovations immediately if not sooner. At least four of my friends did have been coming there for years for that convention were shut out of rooms I have no idea why but I know the management did not lift a finger to accommodate anyone and that's just horrible. Another friend of mine got locked out of his room and couldn't find a door man person whatever could not find them for over 2 hours That's just horrible. I feel that with a little TLC this place could be a lot better but I would never go back.

L'hôtel est vraiment bien situé, tout près du boardwalk et des manèges! Mais pour ce qui est de l'hôtel ouf...je sais que les motels de wildwood sont vieux mais celui ci en plus d'être vieux est vraiment pas propres...la toilette n'a pas été lavés depuis un bon bout! Quand on n'est arrivé il y avait un advil, un bouchon et un bonbon qui trainait par terre, le plancher etait sale et n'a jamais été nettoyé de la semaine. La piscine était tellement brouillée que même les enfants ne voulait pas se baigner....la dernière journée nous avons vu quelqu'un ( inspecteur) qui est passé et 5 minutes plus tard une personne mettait du chlore et un cadenas après la piscine. D'après moi il y avait du laissé aller depuis un bout. En résumé, je ne retournerai pas à cet hôtel, je sais qu'on n'est pas souvent dans la chambre mais pour moi la propreté c'est quand même important.

If you want to stay in a dirty, dated hotel, surrounded by what looks like section 8 housing recipients, this is your place. They have a balcony , which is hard to come by these days, but the odds are whoever is next to you will be loud, drinking & smoking skunk weed & you’ll not be able to enjoy it. The views are nice when you can enjoy it between the neighbors parties. Didn’t use the pool so can’t speak to that. Liquor bottles dot the entrance, old dated wicker lobby furniture sits next to a closed up restaurant, whose signs offering specials were still hanging in the elevator even though the place is no longer open. . You can tell this place was once very nice, probably in the 60’s (has that decor vibe) but those days are long gone. Only positives were prime location & full (apartment size) refrigerator.

Avoid This Establishment !!......................................................Great location horrible service and poor rooms. There is mold everywhere fortunately, they have a balcony in every room, but that's where everyone goes to smoke. The mold on the light shades are a nice touch and gives a little decoration when you turn the light on. Inside the bathroom, be careful at the overhead ceiling. Because it tends to fall randomly. Make sure you bring lysol Kleenex. And other cleaning supplies because it seems like whoever was in a room. Before you, you have to clean all their stuff out first. There is a what's it Envelope, which I find hilarious, because I did all the cleaning when I arrived. This establishment used to be a great space for families to come. Now it's only a good place to give you lungs a workout.

I definitely would not recommend this place at all. First of all our air conditioner broke in our room. It was only supposed to take three hours but it pretty much took all day from 10 o’clock until about 4:30 PM to end up fixing it. And they just didn’t stay and fix it. I understand part had to be ordered to get it done, but they kept on coming and going constantly to do little by little which they should’ve just stayed in the room and got it done instead of messing around. so we have the room pretty much all day besides when we had to stop. Especially what a service dog Connie can’t be out in the heat the whole time. And the water in the shower either had really cold water or really hot water and then you’ll be taking a shower and you just get it the right temperature and then all of a sudden it got really hot. What I say, it’s the cleanest no, I would not say it’s the cleanest. and when I went to pick up the blankets on two of the beds, there was stains and people hair still in the sheets like the beds weren’t even changed at all. And their excuse about the stains oh it’s been washed, but it’s just stained. Why would you put stain sheets. On a bed. I will say two of the ladies at the front desk were very nice and kind and the housekeeper was very nice when you would talk to her. but when it comes to management, it’s horrible. They need cameras in the building inside and out and you can’t even get to the hot tub because of the how disgusting it was. It wasn’t even clean at all. We were only in the pool the whole time we’ve been here and we leave tomorrow . I just wish I read the reviews before I end up staying here. It really sucks. Yes, the vacation was good but staying here ruined it because we couldn’t really be comfortable and with all the reviews that I’ve seen. And the other issue do not supposed to be smoking anything of any kind in the rooms and every time we come in our room specially where the spare room is with the two beds all you could smell is marijuana in the rooms and it’s pretty bad it’s that bad. If you’re gonna smoke at least go outside the room and do it not inside.

We booked 3 rooms. The rooms were dirty. The floors were black. My sister found a used condom behind the nightstand in her room. The "clean" towels were dirty, so we just used the beach towels we brought with us to take showers with. Not all of the outlets worked. I paid extra to have a kitchen in 1 of the rooms & only 1 burner worked. The water pressure sucked in the bathrooms. The stairwell smelled like pee. The only reason I picked this hotel was because it cheaper than the other ones, now I know why.

PROS: The staff was all very nice and if you asked they generally took care of the few issues we had that were addressable. Right across the street from one of the piers. Generally a central location CONS: The country music festival caused the entirety of the towns hotels to be booked out. This hotel is probably worth $75 to $100 a night. For 3 nights it cost me $1000.00. I paid for a Hilton and got a broken down motel. The rooms haven't been updated since the 90s, maybe they bought extra decorations and furniture a few decades ago and put them in storage. I am assuming the the furniture came from Wally World or the Alibaba equivalent. The lack of maintenance and care for proper repairs was visible through cracks and gaps. The shower alternated between scalding hot and cold water every few seconds, the good side was it was a pattern you could follow so you knew when to get in and out of the stream. To go along with the shower I would consider bringing your own towels as they were pretty thin. I would also recommend bringing your own toilet paper as the sandpaper they issued as toilet paper was not only abrasive but one-ply The AC couldn't keep up with the temp when it was hot outside, but would cool down at night. Pool: The pool was foggy the whole time we were there, the pool deck was extremely dirty and needed to be pressure washed along with all the outdoor furniture, it was a possibility hep-c was in your future if you walked across it barefoot. I watched an employee liquid out of a trash can right on the deck. Overall the stay was bearable, just not bearable for the price.

The location of the hotel was excellent other than that. Nothing was excellent. The floors in the room were so black like they have not been steamed in 30 years. The sheets were dirty. It took us three hours to get into the room because front desk needed to find someone that was off duty to come clean our room and change the sheets. Every sheet was dirty also stained with blood on them. There was dried nail polish on furniture People smoking weed outside on the patio the smell coming in our room with small children this is not what I paid for. Staff told me smoking weed is legal in NJ . Well, they need to have smoke and people on one side of the hotel and people with small children on another side or have no smoking policy, which would even be better no smoking checked out two days early due to the noise word to the wise pick another hotel. The only good thing about this hotel was the location.
