Definitely the spot to avoid crowds! Most that frequent this area were from the Holiday Inn close by. It was pretty windy for the few days I spent here, so check weather and/or prepare to stake/weight your beach gear & belongings down.
This is a great spot to access the beach. The sand is nice and clean, but bring something to drill deep into the hard bottom if you want your umbrella to hold in the wind. There are showers to rinse off after, and the Tipsy Turtle bar is great for a reprieve from the sun.
Awesome place to go and just sit and watch the waves 😁
Definitely a hidden gem & i’m so glad we chose this part of the beach! It turned out to be a beautiful & relaxing day. No one blasting music or overcrowding. If you’re visiting Galveston this is the best part!
As you can see my husband had a Great time and be doesn't even Swim. And everyone was very friendly even the Ice cream truck made a point to be there the whole afternoon
Nice beach that's not very crowded.
Best spot on the island...I hate to give it 5 stars as I don't want others to discover it. Been using this exact spot many times each summer for 15+ years. Fav part is city scrapes the sand w/ frontloaders during the night so most days sand is like new each morning.
This was the bomb! I found out about this spot from a local and haven’t seen many places like it. You can drive your car on the beach. Several different people were camping and grilling out here as well. You can bring your pets if you wish just make sure to bring poop bags because they don’t have them around. The beach was clean and there were several trash cans to dispose of waste. I went on a beautiful Saturday afternoon and there was enough space for me to park my car and set up my tent. There was mostly adults here but I did see a couple of children further down. I always worry about beaches being pet friendly but there was multiple people with their pets so they are definitely welcome here. I definitely recommend visiting ! As always clean up after yourself, keep the beach clean and don’t pollute the ocean!
Spent the day loved the beach not overcrowded and we were able to drive our vehicles on the beach there were a lot of people nothing like Gulf Coast people they just have a certain flare about them, all of the flags they fly in the vehicles they dri
My Husband and I fish here most weekend. We are actually here now hoping to catch a bid one ! We have seen so many different creatures of the sea here.
My husband and I are visiting from out of town and needed a spot to watch some NFL football (GO CHIEFS!) and eat some good food. I am SO happy this place came up on my Google search. The hospitality shown to us was above and beyond. We got to try Vie
