The owners are very nice and super people to deal with, and I've had several stays at this motel. Quite peaceful and the garden area is fantastic. If you’re looking for a place to relax and as it says you’re 100 steps from the beach this is the place. Will stay there again and the little area is perfect for a vacation without all the traffic and hassles of a larger beach.
Stayed this past weekend on a whim. Only place we could find that had rooms. I kinda liked the fact that it was cash only. Super close to the beach and loved all the plants and boho vibe. As a designer the room lived in my mind for days on how I could re do and decorate it. It’s fun and outdated but that gives it character. I would come back and stay for sure! Just have an open mind. Make the memories. ❤️❤️❤️loved the stag horn hanging from the palm tree.
Lady that owns the place is the rudest person I have ever talked to. She told me not to stay there because I called to confirm the process to pay by cashiers check for the deposit. Paying by cashiers check is weird because no one does that anymore and it's usually the first sign of a scam. She was offended that I wanted to verify where my money was going. I have found a much better place to stay instead through Air BNB-- Be sure to read all of the reviews on this place.
On a scale of 1 to 10 I would give the Beach Croft Motel a 15. I absolutely adore this place. The owners are awesome people who have provided a safe cottage-like setting 100 ft from the beach. Every room is different and tastefully decorated but most importantly, super clean. If you’re looking for a “party central” place to stay, I suggest you go elsewhere. If you are looking for a quiet relaxing garden-like sanctuary, then you must go here. I can’t wait to go back!!
The man and woman who run the place are very creepy. They made sure we (my lady friend and her two daughters), didn’t have ANY visitors and overheard us saying we were going to Disney the next day and the man knocked on our door at 6pm and said,”you better get some sleep if you’re heading to Disney tomorrow!” Yikes! 😬 we feel like we were being watched! Like they have secret cameras around the place! They live above the office and hang around. We couldn’t wait to check out! Dingy decor, dark interior. Never again!
My Wife and I were on a business trip in the Englewood the area the first week of August and driving around found this really cool motel. The rooms are great, the area was great ( by the beach) and Brett the owner was great. They have chairs and an umbrella for the beach which is 100 feet away. The motel has the quaint history from the fifties in looks and feel. There are restaurants and bars with in walking distance and good food. if your looking for a getaway I highly recommend it. The plan was to be in Englewood for a day and we ended up staying 3 days. Remember that this is some great history that your staying in and experiencing . If your a high end hotel person keep driving.
I would just like to start that customer service was so excellent if you ever get a chance to come to Englewood Beach. I recommend you come and stay you can't beat free parking and free Wi-Fi the whole work is very friendly five stars all the way you will not regret it. It is a good place to get away from the hustle and bustle.
I don't even want to give this place one star! We arrived late. Room was not clean at all. My husband and I slept in our clothes on top of the bed. In the morning we found an opened chocolate pudding cup wedged between the swing doors to hold it open. There was an electrical outlet exposed! The shower was so gross I kept my sandals on and quickly rinse off. We had the room reserved for two nights and told the man/owner at the desk what we found in the room, he simply did not care and would not refund any money for the second night. We happily went to another place. Horrible!!!
My husband and I stopped by during a trip for our 5th wedding anniversary in October and it was one of the highlights of our trip! John (the owner) is a fantastic and gracious host! He's incredibly knowledgeable about wine and a wonderful and enterta
Nice park with many hiking options. Plenty of parking and a lot of benches. Bathrooms, kayak launch, and amphitheater . Nice walkways some even paved. Dog friendly but be aware of cacti. Nice bay views.
Nice fishing pier. Free to go free to talk on and free to fish on. There is a bait shop right across the street. Caught some catfish and of course the big ones got away. Weather happened to be great too which was a plus. It says it's open until 9 but
