Beach Carousel Motel - Motel in Virginia Beach - 1300 Pacific Ave, USA

I'm leaving this review before even checking out. That's how bad this place is. The fact that I found it on AirBnB is even more disappointing. The evening check-in person was so nice and that's the only reason this gets more than one star. The room has been cleaned but it's not clean, you know? It reeks of cigarette smoke, the fridge is literally held together with duct tape, the drapes are broken, the tub is sketchy at best.... Add to that the fact that there are hidden fees and this is an absolute miss. If I had reserved for more than one night, I'd be checking out.

Le motel est bien situé, près de la plage et de nombreux commerces. Cependant, la chambre que nous avons eue était remplie de moisissures, y compris sur une commode lisse sur laquelle il aurait suffi de passer une éponge pour enlever les champignons. L'odeur était difficilement supportable et nous l'avons ramenée dans nos valises. Nous n'y sommes restés qu'une nuit (heureusement) mais sommes repartis avec des vêtements empestant la moisissure. J'ai par ailleurs eu des démangeaisons sur les jambes dans la journée qui a suivi (punaises de lit ?). Bref, si vous pouvez trouver autre chose, allez ailleurs.

I'm not sure where to begin, this was our second year saying here. The hotel has a really cool retro kind of look to it from the outside. Very convenient location one block from the ocean and the boardwalk. Anything you want to do is within walking distance Now last year's room was okay pretty clean, this year not so good. The lamps were missing light bulbs, the smoke detector was missing the air vent duct did not look like it had been cleaned in months and had stuff hanging off of it. The bathroom door was repainted and the paint was chipping off of it, the shower curtain and the window curtain were not properly hung or clean. The shower walls were dirty, there were no plastic cups or a box of tissues in the room anywhere. I feel that this hotel could use a new cleaning service or at least go in behind their cleaning service and make sure the rooms are right

We stayed there for 3 nights. The room was dirty, with stained sheets and towels and dirty walls. The room smelled unclean, I had to spray my perfume to not feel it. At some point some guy open our door and peeked in the room!! Thankfully, we were in the room, and nothing was stolen. Finally, they didn’t allow us to leave our bags at the reception at check out. I’ve been to hundreds of hotels, and this is the first time when I’m not allowed to leave luggage for safekeeping. My back hurts because I had to carry my heavy backpack with me for the whole day. We don’t recommend this place and we will never ever book it again. They are less expensive than other hotels in Virginia Beach, but guests deserve clean rooms and basic service at the very least.

The people were nice. The place was clean and I was satisfied with it. I will stay again here for the price and for the location. I really liked how closer it was to the beach and I walked there. It was only three minutes away from the beach. Staying here again next time!

The most DISGUSTING place I’ve ever stayed. To say this place was gross was an understatement. The futon had more stains than I could count. The A/C was non existent. The shower curtain was moldy. Not only was it disgusting; it also smelled disgusting. The carpet had wet stains on it as we checked in. God only knows what these stains were made of.

I would rather have slept on the beach than this dump. If you need to find a dealer, this is your place. They offer a pool which is padlocked and filthy. We didn’t stay. Waited for hours for our room to be ready as we watched a group clean out their room by throwing all the trash out the door on the ground. Between the local fire dept sirens nonstop and the fighter jets that flew overhead every 15-20 minutes which were incredibly cool to see but LOUD, I can’t imagine any relaxation. So do not bring your family there. It seemed very unsafe.

Place was very dirty and moldy. Shower has mold in it and on the curtains, futon had stains all over it and didn’t come with a sheet or any pillows. Pills and old food were in the cabinets. Stains on the dressers. Place smelled like weed and smoke. Worst hotel/motel I’ve ever stayed at.
