Bazskinsky House is a beautifully appointed historic home where delightful whimsical art is mixed in with impressive art pieces. Our room and room were quite comfortable, the generous breakfast was delicious. The house is spotless (which cannot possibly be easy to accomplish). Andrew is the kind of host who can steer you in the right direction for restaurants, entertainment, and (of course) local art. This was our first visit to the Bazskinsky House--we'll definitely stay there again when we're passing through Vicksburg.
Beautiful, so relaxing and comfortable! We arrived at Andrew’s B&B on our way from Florida to Denver. Such a beautiful oasis in a city full of so much information. We took our City Passport and went to the Old Court House Museum. So interesting and recommended. Andrew recommended 10 South Bar and Grill for dinner. My husband is Gluten Free and our cute waitress, Gia, brought out the menu with items crossed off by the chef on how to accommodate his diet. The pork chops were delicious. Plate licking worthy! For breakfast we were served GF pancakes, fruit, yogurt, sausages and real whipped cream. Then Andrew gave us the history of the home. So interesting! Our bedroom was huge, the bed was very comfortable and just a great place. You won’t be disappointed by this experience!
We had a wonderful stay! The room was beautiful, quiet and had everything we needed. The property was clean and well maintained. It’s located across from the Courthouse Museum. The breakfast was delicious and Andrew is a great host. We would definitely stay here again!
If you’re planning a trip to Vicksburg, MS, I highly recommend staying at Bazinsky House bed and breakfast. Upon our arrival, the delightful host, Andrew, made my fiancé’ and I feel warmly welcomed. The home is decorated impeccably with antiques and exquisite furnishings yet has an elegant laid-back charm. We felt as if we were part of the family when in the common areas and also enjoyed the private coziness of our wing upon retiring for the night. How do you say wonderful, relaxing, family visit? 4 words, Bazsinsky House and Andrew. From the moment we arrived until we said our good-byes we felt as though we had been on a family visit. Andrew was very accommodating to all our needs. Comfortable and very relaxing. Within walking distance to several downtown attractions. Want to experience southern charm, stay at the Bazsinsky House. Want to relax as though you were at home , stay at the Bazsinsky House. Breakfast served is 5 star worthy. Andrew is 5 star worthy. If you go say hello to Andrew and be prepared to book your next visit. We have.
A real and unexpected treasure almost like staying in a UK national trust property. Built around 1861 and extensively renovated. They only rent out two giant rooms at a time. The part owner Andrew is a wonderful man who looked after us and cooked breakfast. We could have talked for hours. I have to say this is a great place. My only regret, we only booked one night. Go if you can.
Our second time to visit, and we would have visited sooner but no vacancy when we were last in town because I failed to call in advance. The good: This is a place you want to visit-central location in Vicksburg, beautiful completely restored and renovated fine old house, and a great host. Andrew seems like someone you have always known, is a joy to visit with, and happy to share his substantial knowledge of the area. The bad: Absolutely nothing. Like visiting an old friend. BTW-breakfast is splendid!
A lovely renovated mansion with a real feel for days gone by. Clean, very comfortable with lovely linen. Good breakfast and our host, Andrew, was helpful. The position was good - close to the waterfront and Washington Street with a good brewery and rooftop restaurant nearby. An excellent experience in downtown Vicksburg.

Excellent movie, nice exhibits, and friendly staff. We received a lot of information about the park. Plan on spending 4 hours at the park to do everything. We got out 3 times to explore. The video plays every half hour and is worth seeing it
