Bayshore Inn - Motel in Ventura - 3075 E Main St, USA

This is among the 5 worst places I've ever stayed over my 40 years of travelling. In its favor, it was clean and the bed was comfortable---I actually got a good night's sleep considering my disgust about the room. But there is a total lack of maintenance or pride in ownership. I met the owner and he was very sweet. But (1) the lightbulb in the beside lamp had been painted black. I did get a new bulb (2) no smoke alarm (3) missing plate over plug (4) GFI plug in bath did not work (5) bed made poorly (top sheet was used as a bottom sheet) (6) screens missing in two windows. (5) room smelled badly, like old smoke and mustiness. Had to open all windows to air out room. Etc, etc. Fortunately it was one night. I was on a low budget and it was a Saturday night, and they did not require a 2-nite stay. But for the money (Total with taxes etc. $171) it was NOT worth it.

I stayed here for 2 weeks for business travel in July. The room was extremely clean and the cleaning staff were very attentive. This hotel has AC which is great because some others in the area don’t since the weather in Ventura usually prevents the need. It is located in a quiet section of town nearby a mall. Mayur Patel and his family are all great and work hard to make this place welcoming to all. I would definitely stay again in the future.

I stayed at Bayshore Inn for one night during a business trip. Overall, it left a positive impression. The room was clean and cozy, and the bed was comfortable. The Wi-Fi worked flawlessly. The setup was simple, but the room had everything needed for a comfortable stay. I particularly want to mention the friendliness of Mayur Patel. He was very welcoming and always ready to help, which made the stay even more pleasant. If I have the chance, I will stay at this hotel again.

I had a good stay here. The staff was easy to work with and the room was good enough for what I needed. It’s no 5-star hotel but it’s a great cheap one.

Very nice front desk management, safe place to stay if you are single woman, great location.

It was alright room needs to be fixed the microwave was hella old new one forsure, had a fridge witch was good,had tv witch was good my kids need tv but didnt likke the shower it was a standing up one kinda had mold,beds were not comfortable back was hella hurtingg the next dayy very old beds, but over all it was alright

Room was spotless and had all that I needed. The owner was super helpful and accommodating. I noticed the plaque in the office thanking him for his service to the community and I understand why. Very kind and compassionate toward others. Had 5he best night of sleep there during my 15 day trip. Truly a place of rest!

The only issue is that the walls are thin ... and the rooms are set up as mirror opposites of one another. And if the guests in the next room are inconsiderate, continuously colliding with the wall. And you're double screwed when they have an undisciplined small child and a crying infant. It's a non-stop sideshow!! On the positive side staff is very friendly, the rooms are large and recently remodeled .
