This is a great place with AMAZING food! I had the Combo #3and the grilled fish and shrimp were perfecly seasoned and I couldn't get enough! Hush puppies, bacon burger and everything! I'm giving back every time I'm around town.

Wow So much better than I expected for a place along the highway. I pulled off the freeway twice before, and nothing resonated. When I pulled off and saw the cars for, I knew I had to try it out. Family atmosphere, wide selection, delicious food, and great service. Saved on my maps to find again as I drive between Mississippi and Rockport Tx.

Always a great time here food is excellent and staff is friendly. Don't forget to try the banana pudding.

Best shrimp and grits in the Southeast Tx area! Chicken fried chicken is perfection. Great place to dine. Great seating, art and music from the eighties. What's not to love about this place??

Has an Ole timey feel on the inside, but we'll kept. The food was amazing, though it can be pricey. A nice little change with plenty of flavor. My only complaint is that there isn't really service, had a lot of questions and severs couldn't really answer them. Parking is weird too

5 stars all the way!!! The food is tasty and there are plenty of options to choose from. The crawfish are consistently great and normally the cheapest prices around. They have excellent entertainment at their outside pavilion and it’s always FREE! Over all an excellent experience every time.

We want more! Both my partner and I enjoyed our meals very much. Flavorful grilled fish and shrimp, great hush-puppies, and friendly service.

It is a great treat to fall upon hidden treasures. Bayou Cafe in Vidor is worthy of you going out of your way to go for a meal. They have three menues; Regular, New Orleans, and Specials. I had New Orleans Shrimp and Grits and my wife chose Shrimp Gumbo with Potato Salad off the Regular Menu. We topped off that Outstanding with a seving of Mom's Banana Pudding. The outstanding meal was a superb mixture of spices and main ingredients served in a beautiful presentation. The atmosphere is clean and nostalgic with posters of timeless actors and singers mixed with musical instruments coupled with signs and placards. The server, Arabella, asked if we had visited before and after our negative response explained the menues, ordering procedure, and took us to the bar forvexplaining our options. She was extremely effecient and friendly. Great find. Thanks to all.
