Baymont Inn and Suites Joplin - Hotel in Joplin - 3510 S Rangeline Rd, USA

Can't even begin to count up all the problems that we had with our room. The only reason I'm not reading one star is because the lady at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. That being said she was also very overworked. She mentioned that she was the only one there from 10:00 until 6:00 in the morning. This was on a Friday night.

I was very dissatisfied with this hotel. I have been to numerous hotels for various lengths of time and just only a few hours in this one made it to the top of worse hotel experiences. 1. The refrigerator didn't work. So if you come, don't plan on storing perishables. 2. Everytime you leave your room, be sure to include another trip to the front desk to redo your key...I understand keys demagnetize every once in awhile but every time? Especially when you are at the very end of the building. 3. The technology is ancient. This hotel was located in a city where technology goes beyond phone lines yet they use equipment that still utilizes dial up. It took them swiping my card 3 or 4 times before the transaction successfully went through without "timing out" or "communication error" 4. They "don't" take cash nor reserve with CC and swap payment for cash, yet during one of the times I was remagnetizing the keys, the guest in front of me just paid cash for the room. I am never picky about hotels as its usually "just a place to sleep" but its really aggravating as I expect at a bare minimum to meet the basics. I paid $80 for a room without a working fridge, and a room that I had to go to the front desk every time just to get into. The only reason I gave 2 stars was because the breakfast was halfway decent and the staff was not rude.

The non smoking room smelled like a smoking room. The carpet was damp and the sheets and bedding felt slightly damp to. The bathroom was mildewy and gross. If I hadn't already lugged all 3 of my little ones up the the 2nd story room and it weren't 1 a.m. I would have called and asked for a different room. But it was pretty full that night and I was exhausted.

This used to be a nice hotel.. It's no longer nice at all. The staff was nowhere to be found for over 30 mins while we stood at the front desk to check in. They put us on the 3rd floor outside when we asked for first floor. Then the wifi was broken along with the elevators! The tub was filthy and i will no longer be using them for my travel needs.

5/15/15 My wife and I stayed at this hotel. When you first opened up the door all you could smell was cigarette smoke. After entering the room the bathroom door would not shut or lock. The night stand had dust all over it. We were in room 231 it was like they haven't been in the room in a long time. Won't be back.

Decent hotel for the price. Its an Econo lodge now not Baymont. Its older but they keep it up pretty nice. Good value and location ✅

Bathtub didn't drain well was much older hotel heat either blew hot or cold didn't shut off again older wall unit doors stuck a lot tv channels were awful too.

Schetchy. Looks fine in photos and staff friendly. Parking area and room were rough, but mostly functional. Note that some rooms open directly to parking lot if that makes a difference to you.
