Baymont Inn and Suites by Wyndham - Hotel in Texarkana - 5102 N State Line Ave, USA

This is a followup to my previous 1 star review. There is now a sign posted in the lobby announcing the pool is closed for maintenance.||Fair is fair, right? What I like about this place....|I am sleeping like a baby. The bed is so comfortable and it is quiet. The price through Priceline is good. The location is great. There are 2 picnic tables under shade trees you might not notice but look for the pool and the grassy area beside it. Housekeeping is very pleasant and helpful.

Overall a good experience. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, the shower had hot water and good pressure. The a/c worked well. Stayed 2 nights. For the price everything was more than adequate.

OUR ROOM WAS INFESTED WITH FLEAS!!!!!!!! We book 2 night over the weekend. Upon check-in everything seemed fine. We walked into our room and were IMMEDIATELY covered in them. We grabbed our bag and went right back to the front desk and told the man we wanted a refund, that we would not be staying there!! Management denied our refund because he said they offered us another room!!!!! It was disgusting and I 1000% do NOT recommend the place!!!!! It should receive 0 stars!!!

Yesterday I posted a low star review because the pool is closed and there was no sign posted to tell incoming guests. That has been corrected. There a sign visible saying the pool is closed due to maintenance. That response is the right thing. I would give 2.5 stars out of 5. The night desk clerk who checked me in on my first visit is surly and haughty. Another clerk told me my next $100 hold should be in cash. I use plastic since I could lose a bill or be robbed. However, the morning day clerk, a woman, is pleasant and professional.

The room smelled like someone threw up in it and they didn't clean it well. Especially around the nightstand. It was horrible. We only stayed long enough to get out of the heat thank God because our vehicle broke down. The carpet definitely needed to be cleaned it held a dirty odor also. As soon as we walked in it looked extremely dingy. The staff was very friendly up on checking in and out. Id definitely choose another hotel closer to the freeway.

AVOID. Still have not gotten our refund. Everything dirty. Air don’t work in the rooms. Pool closed. No water pressure n barely hot water. No guest was happy when we was leaving. People at the front demanding money back. Everyone is rude and barely understand the workers. Felt like I was 22 again overseas in a 3rd world country hoping and praying for basic amenities and had to fight the person at the front just for a extra towel for my friend because they was so uncomfortable to ask because of how rude the staff is. And then we get the one extra towel and it is so paper thin I wasn’t sure if it wasn’t just an extra large dish rag. Wyndham’s standards have gotten so dangerously low. Shame on Wyndham for allowing unqualified people to take over hospitality businesses.

Was not told about the $100.00 that had to be paid even though I paid for the room online with a card. The pool was not open even though the weather was permitting. At the time I made the reservation I asked if the pool was open and was told if weather permitted it would open then ot wasn't. The clerk that checked me in was rude and kind of hateful. I had asked for a room with a king bed and it was not a king size bed. Was told upon check out my deposit would be return to card as soon as I checked out. I checked out and asked when the hold of $100.00 go back to my card and was then told 3 to 7 business days. The toilet didn't flush properly the shower was horrible low pressure and no hot water. The breakfast was not good and had very little choices. Gravy was way to salty. Basically the breakfast was very nasty. Not sure what else I can say if I could rate it 0 stars I would. Will never stay here again.

Positive: The location is great and the hot breakfast is nice. Negative: Dissapointed! The hotel is falling into disrepair & is not being properly maintained/updated. It does not meet expectations and the star rating should be reduced. Cracked tiles & drywall. dirty doors and walls. Torn carpet. Would not recommend. Negative: ""
