Baymont by Wyndham Savannah Midtown - Featured Reviews (1379)
First let me say, better than many others I’ve stayed in and staff was wonderful! Have the right expectations. The location and price is great for this area. The sheets and towels were clean. I’m in pest control and so I looked the room over as per my usual routine. They had no sign of bugs. At the end of the day that’s what I most care about. Not the cleanest room but I cleaned the room a little myself and made it smell good with spray and a candle. It has carpet so I felt best in flip flops or sandals. I also felt pretty safe which is a plus.
I would come back here knowing more what I should come in with.
We enjoyed our stay at the Baymont by Wyndham hotel. We did a same day booking for a hotel room with two double beds for a 4 night stay, they were easily able to accommodate for us and were one of the only hotels in Savannah that booked 18+. Upon arrival, the rooms were clean and met our expectations for a budget hotel. The beds/pillows were comfortable and they had clean sheets/towels. For three mornings we enjoyed the free breakfast, it was simple but the food was good and it had enough variety for a few days of healthy breakfast. The staff were welcoming and were very helpful when we had questions and last minute when we needed to leave a day early. We got a full refund for the last night of our stay. If we visit Savannah again, this will definitely be one of our options for our stay.
The room was okay, nothing luxurious but good enough to sleep in a couple of nights. The hotel is basic. Some attention to details by cleaning and maintenance crew would be helpful. Vending machines in the lobby didn't work, but the back door lock and closer worked well. Felt safe while we were there. Location wast stretch for us, but we might use it again if needed.
The young man that checked us in was very helpful and caring to our needs. He made sure that we were given a handicap accessible room that wasn't on the ground level, which I truly appreciated. The room was clean, the breakfast was good and the staff was great. The hotel is located near the hospital, restaurants and shopping areas. If we travel to Savannah again, we will definitely stay at Baymont.
One of the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed. Stinky. Nothing is good. Hair dryer not working. Tv not working. Lights not working. AC is loud. The hotel is dirty. Safety inspection for Elevator has expired last year. I called for the hair dryer issue after a shower and i was told to wait and nothing happened at that night. Very rude and bad front desk service.
The cleanest hotel I have ever been in. The clean fresh smell that is pleasant not chemically great you at the entrance. Loved no carpet and the clean well maintained rooms. Beds were a great and we had a wonderful sleep. Breakfast was the weakest, basic pre wrapped microwaveable and muffins and a pancake cooker that seemed to undercook. I ate the boiled eggs and their is enough choices to survive the breakfast. But we would stay here again. You don’t feel like worrying here if the room is clean or not. You know is clean. I had a hospital appointment at St Joseph’s and this location is very close to it without a lot of turns etc. Highly recommended stay with friendly staff.
For $170 per room per night, I expected accommodations that were very clean and well maintained. This is not what we got. The rooms had a damp, mildew-type odor. The bathroom toilet was very low to the ground, looked very old, as if it came from an old elementary school. The shower head was cheap with not enough flow. The tub did not drain, so it filled with water while showering. In general, the bathroom was grungy and did not look sanitary. There was a de-humidifier unit in the room in addition to the very loud air conditioner, making us wonder if the room had flooded prior to our stay. There was no informational sheet in the room to give the TV channels. The lamp shades were tattered and almost completely detached from the lamp. I left a covered cup of water on the nightstand and found a roach on top of it next morning. I happened to be standing in the check-in area when the hotel clerk yelled and cursed at another guest. Granted, the guest had done an irritating thing, but the employee's reaction was unprofessional and way out of line. We paid for two rooms and both were unsatisfactory. Baymont will never get my business again. This was awful.
My experience at this motel was horrific. To begin with, my advance requested room type was not available, the front desk clerk was awful {could barely speak English, not helpful, etc.}, and my room {#112} had the following problems: no DND sign, no coffee, no TV remote, stains on/holes in bedding {see photos}, and a broken phone. Worst of all, there were cockroaches in the room {see photo}! I went to the office to get some bug spray but they, incredibly, did not have any. I then drove all over town trying to find an open convenience store to buy some since it was after midnight. I could not find any place that had any so I literally stayed awake all night for fear of a roach crawling on me while sleeping. This place should be shut down immediately!
What a gem. This is a total find. The apartment is very large and has everything you need for a comfortable visit. We were two friends, so I used the sofa bed as an extra room. It worked very well - itâs big and comfortable and, if you ask, theyâ
Was traveling through and had the privilege of working out with a fun and talented group. The online sign up was super easy, was able to sign my waiver and reserve a class in a jiff. The gym was conveniently located and a quick walk from my hotel. T
