Baymont by Wyndham Savannah/Garden City - Hotel in Savannah - 357 Main St, USA

The rooms are spacious, the beds were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included. The rooms were outdated, there was rust in the microwave, in the sink, and on the toilet paper holder that was falling out of the bathroom counter. The carpeting is old and so is the orange corduroy base of the bed. I would not recommend until they renovate.

6.23.24-6.30.24 You will get what you pay for! Let me preface by saying that all of my hotel reviews are posted after my stay is completed. We loved the layout of the room. However, this place claims to have been newly renovated..... The rooms are NOT modern (yet almost spotless) and I can't believe any hotel still has carpet! The appliances & office chair were outdated, damaged, and filthy. The general manager is either very frugal or running low on funds because why isn't more time & money being used to invest in making this property more presentable and comfortable for guests with families? The pics on ALL sites of this location have definitely been altered and/or they are using stock photos from the chain's site. The toilet was not cleaned before we got there. The front desk staff were all very pleasant and helpful. The cleaning staff not so much! I asked for fresh towels upon leaving one day. When we returned much later that night we did not have fresh towels; the front desk took care of us. I remembered who I asked and saw her the next morning when she denied ever talking to me. Then she immediately made a comment to a fellow housekeeper in their native language and walked away. The breakfast was decent; yet they have to figure out the crawling bugs on the countertops. Our neighbors were quiet during our stay; yet folks were smoking nearby. For our next visit to the area this place may be a last resort.....

I gave this place 4 stars because it had an amazing bed. The public areas and rooms are all well worn. The staff was friendly and the price was right. It is a short drive to downtown savanah.

For the price I was expecting a lot more. The overall appearance of the hotel was unclean. The elevator smelled bad. The room seemed to have been given a quick once-over but again was not very clean. It was hot and stuffy when we checked in. Loud yelling from neighbors at 3am made it feel unsafe. Breakfast was inedible. The only plus was that the nighttime staff was very friendly and kind.

Would not recommend if you’re wanting to stay here for vacation/ fun. It took 30 minutes to check in, in a 2 person line because the staff was having an argument with guests. Room was dirty/ sticky. No soap in bathroom. The hallways only smelt like weed the entire stay I was there. It’s 20 minutes from downtown and 35 from the beach, so it’s a drive back and forth everyday. DO NOT RESERVE ONLINE, once they have your money they will not refund you if you decide to leave early. Or if you don’t get to your check in on time they will not let you check in for that night but still keep the money. And I’m talking checking in at 3 PM is apparently too late. Staff will argue with you as they are taking your money. Pay the extra $100 to stay somewhere nice.

I don’t generally give out negative reviews and treat service industry with disrespect but If I could give -10000 to this facility I would! My family and I had a reservation for 2 nights and it was a suite. The hotel was fine the front desk staff was very nice too but the so called general manager had some anger issue I would say! We went to sleep in the pull in sofa bed and saw blood stains in the Mattress and insects all over the table lamp. The toilet seat was dirty too and looked like someone had used it and not flushed it. Extremely disgusting and disappointed! My family unfortunately has to sleep in the other two bed while I found another hotel near by! But it was horrifying and very bad! Stay near historic downtown if you are visiting savanna! Never ever returning to any Wyndham facilities ever again! If you don’t believe the extreme feedback see the pictures below!

I liked the layout of the room we had with a separate sitting room. We had 5 adults in our group and a double with a sofa bed was great for us. The price is great with free parking. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is just 3 miles from historic Savannah being like a block off of Bay Street.

At first I didn’t expect an extra fee for damages which I had to get up even though my room was already paid for. The clerk was ready to cancel and refund me. Crazy. The next day I met Jessica. She is truly amazing. She taught me how to extend my reservation and she transferred my deposit. She was so nice to my family. The breakfast is hot. Waffles, sausage and eggs. Coffee/tea is 24/7. Bread and muffins as well . Rooms are clean. Hotel is on bus line and 5 minutes from grocery store. I saw no bugs .
