Baymont by Wyndham Pooler/Savannah - Hotel in Pooler - 130 Continental Blvd, USA

We got into our room and the floor from the A/C was wet- the room smelt like mold and the bathroom had a horrible smell as well. It had a humid feel- We did not want to breathe that in and Get sick. We asked to switch rooms and we were told they didn’t have any rooms. (After looking online- they had 3 rooms available) and we told them that. they still wouldn’t let us change. instead they came in the room to try and shop vac the water up, and lay towels down. I believe that is very unprofessional and the least they could have done was offer to give us our money back. Trying to soak the water up is helpful, but it doesn’t not change the fact that the health of the customers were not considered. Not to mention: the elevator stopped working while we were there, the pillows had makeup on them, and there were smudges on the mirrors. Water/mold staining in the shower. And it smelled AWFUL. I don’t believe the room was cleaned.

It is old and there are some cosmetic issues, holes in the wall, mold in windows, foggy and dirty windows. The bed is comfortable and the sheets are clean. For a night or two it's not bad. If you want to use guest laundry, it's only one machine on the first floor, bring quarters and laundry detergent, they don't have a coin machine or laundry detergent to purchase. The pool is slightly off color and old but seems like it is maintained. The fitness center is more of a tiny room with 1 machine and it was closed when I was there. It smells clean which the other hotel in the area I stayed at did not smell nice at all. I would stay here again

The pool was yellow, like it was just full of pee. Once in the pool, I could actually feel a slimy film on my skin. There was nothing refreshing or fun about that pool. That was the one and only time we visited the pool. ||The hallway leading to our room smelled terribly of curry- it was awful. I understand that must've been from another guest. Thinking we would have escape from the curry smell upon entering the room, there was a just as pungent odor. I'm pretty sure the mini fridge is the culprit. The smell was strong and bitter. After a long day of work and the family out sightseeing, this was not a restful place to return to. We hated walking the "curry hall" and entering the next disgusting smell to sit and sleep in. ||There was poop on the wall next to the toilet. Yes, poop. A smear right down the wall. Gross.||||The shower/tub bottom was dirty, not clean.||Breakfast was a huge let down. Throughout the week, things like the juice dispenser being "out of order", even having no water available -there was one morning that there was absolutely nothing but coffee- I had to tell my kids that we had to go back to the room to get our bottles of water. On the first day, I witnessed someone take the last yogurt from the fridge and from then, never restocked; no fruit, although day one had a few apples in a basket; tried out the waffle maker one morning and found the syrup dispenser empty; day one, there was french vanilla coffee creamer and then none for the rest of our stay. My wife went to the lobby to find both coffee carafes completely empty. She had to be the one to let the acting manager know. She went back to get a cup of coffee and found that there was no creamer. She, again, had to be the one to let the manager know. ||Breakfast should be a well-oiled machine for a hotel that offers it. ||Upon checkout, it would be appropriate for concierge to say something along the lines of "Thank you for staying with us here at 'fill in the blank', we hope you'll stay again...". This is the part where it got really weird. Having left earlier for work, my wife was left with the kids to pack up the room and check out. As she was turning in the key card and waiting for receipt, James, a manager, went into a long, uncomfortable dialogue with her about how sad he was to see her go, he's a capricorn and doesn't tend to show his emotions, something overly gushy about her beautiful soul; and continued until he ended with "I will see you again, I PROMISE.".||

Upside: Nice enough room and breakfast. DOWNSIDE:. Nasty looking people across hall entering room that evening, In lobby and parking lot full of trucks. Signs state “No vaping, smoking” all over. Was awakened with people loudly entering / walking hall. PUNGENT odor of pot at midnight. Lingered in our room in am. No enforcement of rules.

This place deserves 5 stars and more. The room was super clean. Pet friendly but the walls are thick enough you don't hear all the typical nonsense. Fro t staff was very helpful. Stayed 4 nights with the family down for vacation. Good clean location.

The indoor pool was nice. The beds were clean and comfortable. We had a room with a sofa bed, which was nice. Breakfast was good. The staff were friendly and helpful.

This hotel was very misleading in advertisement. The rooms were not clean. It felt like the ac was down in the entire building leaving the place feeling gross and smelly. We showed up an hour earlier than check in and were charged $30 for early check in. We couldn’t actually stay at the hotel after checking in because our room was so hot. The beds are horrible and there was actually plywood as the box spring. We were given two towels and not ample shampoo or soap. The facility doors were not secured. The lock on our room was broken. We contemplated leaving but we had nowhere to go. The hotel gave my son such bad anxiety he did not sleep.

We dropped in on our way to Delray beach and stayed a night. Guy at the front desk was kind and polite. The room had rust under the window and above the AC unit where the sheet rock has come loose, there was a blood stain on the mattress pad under the sheet and a dog barking in the next room over.... I asked for a different room, this new room had a cockroach crawling in the bathroom and the bed was so terribly uncomfortable we woke up all night long and finally got going around 3:30am not being able to take it anymore. I would not recommend this place at all, keep driving a little ways more and there are some better hotels down the road.
