Baymont by Wyndham Marshfield - Featured Reviews (427)
****Bit long, but worth the read**** Basic hotel. The handicapped door plate on the inside of the main entrance is inoperable. As a disabled combat veteran, I personally know how vital it is to be able to use an automatic door. The hot tub and pool are also inoperable, per the employee who checked me in. Yet no sign is posted, and you can still gain access with your room key. The front desk is not physically manned by a single soul. You have to use the desk phone for someone to come down and assist with check in. Knowing nobody is manning the desk and any random person can just walk in the hotel at any given time is unsettling. Breakfast is subpar...and I've eaten plenty of bad chow in the military through the years, so that says a lot. The beds are, in fact, doubles and not the standard queen. See attached photo with 2 standard pillows as a size reference. One comforter has blood stains and what looks like human excrement on it. This was the tipping point for me. I write positive reviews the vast majority of the time and give credit where it's due, but that is unacceptable. Do better Baymont.
Positive: It was quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful at checkin. Negative: Musty smell. The room was not vacuumed during my 3 day stay, nor were the bed sheets changed. Toilet stained. The bathroom was not cleaned. Tub was stained with rings & hairs. Beds are full size not queen
I was staying in the area for a business trip. My stay was 2 days so my kiddos tagged along. First off believe when I say the beds were not queen beds but instead full size. Room was small nothing exciting. Bottle of shampoo was half used but I brought my own. I just like to smell what the hotels usually provide. Took the kids swimming and swam for about 30 mins before the front staff came knocking on the pool door telling us we can’t use it. Make sense why there was soo much dirt at the bottom of the pool. No sign or anything specifying it was closed. The outdoor garbage smelt like dead fish that smelled throughout the entry way of tat entrance. Each night I got a new bite mark. All in all I will NEVER spend another night here even if it was free. I now have bite marks on my feet my ankle my hands and my arms but I can happily say I’ve made it home and into my own clean bed. Nothing great. We opted out of breakfast.
Didn’t have queen size beds. rooms need updating. Carpet ?. Breakfast was very marginal, yogurt on sat but not on Sunday, didn’t have any fruit, not much besides cereal, egg patty & sausage patty. Toast and waffle maker. On Sunday. Location was convenient for the Fairgrounds. @2.8 mi and about 9/10 minutes through a residential area. When I was trying to check out there was no 1 at desk to help, I called and waited after about 5 min wait. I was just leaving when I saw the desk clerk running from Walmart. Pool was still closed. Needed repairs of some kind but looked clean with water
Front desk not really staffed -- wrong credit card charged for rooms and couldn't find the guy when we looked for him. Two of three rooms had tvs that had inoperable remotes. Breakfast area was not maintained with over an hour left for breakfast -- no plates, hot food left open (so luke warm) and tables were not wiped down after previous use.
Where do I start? We called at 1pm to add an extra night to our stay last minute. The person who answered the phone sounded half asleep so I had to ask him to repeat himself several times. When we arrived, no one was at the desk so you have to call. The hotel itself and the staff were not very welcoming. Both outdoor and Indoor pools and hot tub were all out of order. (We have two children so this was important to us.) Explanation of the continental breakfast and the location of our room was very brief. We had to ask again for more confirmation. Once we got into our room we immediately began looking for another place to stay. It was much smaller than expected and from what I did see, was not clean. Carpet needed vacuumed and furniture needed dusted. I did not feel comfortable staying even one night and we had booked 3. After confirming another room at another location, we went to the front desk for a refund. It's going to take 7-10 business days to get my money back. Found another hotel just 2 min away with many more amenities, very welcoming atmosphere and staff, clean and smells wonderful when you walk into the room. The rooms are much larger too! Wish I would have checked the reviews before hand because they are accurate.
This place has had some rough reviews, but you can see how hard this family is trying to upgrade this facility. They went out of the way to make our stay comfortable. The breakfasts were great, hot and fresh. Housekeeping was always available if needed. The pool area is beautiful and the lobby is clean. It's located close to Walmart, KwikTrip and downtown Marshfield. It was full the weekend we stayed, with a softball team tournament, but everyone was respectful and quiet. The rooms need some updating, but they are clean and serve the purpose for a place that's clean, quiet and safe to sleep. I'd stay here again, and I hope you give it a chance too.
The room stunk so bad, old, musty, dirty smell. I had to have the windows open most of the time I was there. The room had a lot of dust. I also had to wipe down the vanity, sink and toilet. I will not recommend this Motel to anybody. On a good note the desk attendant was very polite.

This place is an absolute treasure, Clyde's McMillan Marsh finds are incredible. We arrived a half hour before close on a Sunday, Clyde made us feel as if he had nothing but time, his tour and stories are as much a part of the fun as are the Jurustic
It's a cozy breakfast place with a limited menu. What they do, they do very well. The bread was exceptional, great crust, soft centre, toasted to perfection with strawberry jam in a server. The omelettes were suitably fluffy with lots of the ingred
Super nice people!!! The food is good. I had spaghetti. ( The only places I have to compare it to are Fazolies and Olive Garden) MOJO BEATS THE HECK OUT OF THOSE TWO. Well, except for unlimited bread sticks. But, how much bread can one eat with a gia
The man sweeping the floor or serving you your drink or making your food might just be the man that owns the place. Awesome humble guy been running it 30yrs and his dad before him. Excellent local bar with alot of hardworking patrons and friendly sta
Their Chicken bacon Ranch pizza is amazing! Also the only buffet in town that has mashed taters and gravy! (To my knowledge). Fair pricing, and they offer a senior discount. Would recommend!
