Property was great! Location was great and it was nice to have places to have walk to if needed. Everything was easily accessible. Breakfast was great! Very quiet rooms for sleeping. It was so nice. Would definitely recommend this place and will stay there again.
Our recent stay with the Baymont hotel will be our last stay with the Baymont hotel. Instantly when walking in we were hit with the smell of mold. Upon looking around the room we spotted mold on the lamp shade. Looking further we spot what looks like blood splatter on the wall beside the bed. The cherry on top was trying to lock the door and the extra safety measure door security guard is completely gone with the holes still visible. Nothing like staying in a hotel room that looks like a murder scene without any sense of security.
My friend and I booked this place along time ago. It had good reviews at the time. The day we arrived it took awhile for someone to show up at the front desk. When we got back to the room we checked for any sort of bugs and stains. Our beds had multiple stains on them. I asked them to change the bedding but asked if housekeeping did any sort of service. We had just arrived… one of the workers didn’t want to speak to me when I asked for new bedding. Also the hot tub is drained and the pool was dirty and it smelled musty. Extra cots where stored in the pool area. Would not recommend this place.
Worse hotel ever!! Waited for someone to help me once he appeared he kept his back to me for 10 minutes listening to his phone. He finally acknowledged me after he put his ear bud in his ear.Gave me a handicapped room. Refrigerator was frozen over with 2 cups of water left in them did not cool .Went to check out pool. FILTHY and smelled.Cobwebs in window and not a little one.Hot tub is totally bricked over and door to outside patio wouldn’t open. Left for 2 hours and came back. Packed and left to find a new hotel. I will never use Expedia again worse customer service! This hotel should be inspected!! Learned a hard lesson.
Traveling with a large group. We're able to check in and get rooms on the same floor and close to each others. Rooms were clean, maid service was thorough and breakfast was good, hot and plenty of food. Will continue to use use Baymont Inn and Suites in future travels. Highly recommend Marshalltown Baymont!
I had family in town and convinced them all to stay here because I thought they had the best pool and hot tub. It's normally very warm and enjoyable, but it was cold and the hot tub is out of service.
I bought a suite so we could have a place to hang out. I always check for bed bugs when arriving to any hotel. I didn't find any bug, but I did find a used tampon under our mattress. They came and changed the bedding and offered me a $15 discount. The jacuzzi was impossible to fill and once we figured it out we couldn't get it to drain or flush the toilet. The fireplace also didn't work. For $170 dollars I would have hoped for a better experience.
Loved My stay here and super clean ,staff was so friendly and gracios . The complementry breakfast was amazing .

The best cinnamon rolls in Iowa are right here at West End Perk! I used to live in Marshalltown and every time I come back, I have to come have that cinnamon roll and a caramel-vanilla latte. The owner is fabulous and is in house every day.

As always, the food here is amazing! One of the great things about sub city is the freshness and the speed. The prices are good for the food you get. Only downside is that it's cash only, but there is an ATM in the store next door.
