The room felt spacious with the extra sitting area. Liked being on the 1st floor with our dog, and the room did not smell of previous pets. Plenty of room outside with green space to walk the dog. Bed was comfortable, and the internet was good. Coffee pot, refrig and microwave in the room. Hotel was quiet and typical continental breakfast fare.
Traveling on a road trip through 11 states, this hotel was one of our stops on the way home. Comparing it to the others we stayed at, this one was pretty good. We liked the way the room was set up, as it had a seating area sort of separate from the bed area (almost like 2 separate rooms, but not really). But that worked out well, because we got in from a long day of driving, and decided to just get a pizza from the Huck's on the corner (they make fresh Godfather's pizzas - delicious!), so we had a separate area in our room to enjoy the pizza and a movie on TV. Great place to relax. The room was also pet-friendly (important, because we travel with our dog), and it was very clean - no smell of previous pets or anything. Breakfast was fine - and we were on our way bright & early in the morning. I would stay at this hotel again.
i'm writing this for 2 reasons, because i travel a lot almost 1/3 of the year and like to let fellow travelers know what to expect. and 2nd because i get tired of people who write reviews and want to compare hotels like this to the ritz or st regis but don't want to pay those rates it's not fair. this is a very nice affordable hotel very well kept, clean, comfortable and in a safe location. yes it's is an older hotel but i found the rooms spacious and clean, the bed comfortable. yes some of the furniture is older but it was clean, these days you can't have clean and sparkly new an affordable too. the breakfast was decent, in most cases hotels offer the same things, waffles, cereal, yogurt, coffee, sweet rolls, oatmeal, coffee, juice, and milk they had this. the property outside was very well kept. i had no complaints for the price it was well worth it, i have stayed at 4 hotels in marion and for the price i'd stay here everytime, i would highly recommend this hotel for anyone not wanting all the bells and whistles and a fair price. i'd like to thank the staff they were all helpful and very friendly. i gave it 4 stars because to be fair to other hotels there are better but the cost is way more. on a scale of 1-10 i'd give it a 9 and wish i could find more affordable places like this as i travel.
Positive: It was clean and a nice pool and a decent breakfast...no holds on my credit card for the week's stay. Negative: no daily room clean or towel replacements unless asked about. The ice machine on the second floor was broken, so needed to use first floor. The elevator is very inconveniently placed for reaching upper rooms.
The room was not clean. Refused to sit in chairs. I had a suite. So I expected a little more. If you needed clean towels. You had to set them out the door. And they left them at door. Someone needs to get this place cleaned up. If I had paid their price. Instead of going through Expedia. I would have had a problem at check out.
Decent hotel. Could be cleaner in public areas but rooms were good. Staff was good to work with and I would rate hotel above average except for internet. Don't rely on the connection to get anything significant accomplished. Regular disconnects and speed is not good. Also breakfast should be classified as continental.
We needed a place to sleep the night before a funeral service, and the hotel provided that. Could use some TLC and the stairs could be introduced to a vacuum. Not a Hampton or its equal, but not a bad stay for the price. That said, the bed was very comfortable and clean.
The room smelled like smoke as soon as we walked in, both sets of sheets were dirty with stains as well as one of the pillows having dirt stains. The shower wouldn't drain and the front desk associate was rude. it was pretty upsetting.
I LOVED my stay here. I work at a hotel, and enjoy getting to be a guest every once in a while, and you guys knocked it out of the park! Check in was very quick, and Devon (I think was his name? Sorry I didn't get it!) made the whole process go smoot
I was refered to RTS Sports by Doug Phelps and glad I was. Michael greeted me as I walked in the door. He was polite and listened to my needs and concerns with the shoes issues I have faced recently. We analyzed my feet and went from there to picking
A really cool spot to hangout, a great ending to my girls night out! The bar tender was attentive and the atmosphere is welcoming. Tried a new beer as well, as the bartender said "It's like a Blue Moon but better", I'm converted, haha. Really great p
Lots of creative and delicious treats. Cupcakes, cookies, macaroons and more. A little on the pricey side, but worth it. Especially the Espresso Macaroons. It was really nice inside, but a little crowded around lunchtime.
Pretty holiday designed cake just as I ordered but sadly I wasn't given a plastic knife like all other customers who ordered cakes. Oh well next time. The cake is well worth it. I've been buying Larry's cakes for many years and have never been disapp
BEST LITTLE RESCUE EVER! I have adopted 2 dogs from them and it was such an easy, smooth process. Plus they get to visit with them at yearly vaccination time.
For the most part, I enjoyed walking around. I am looking at different things. I will say that there are multiple individuals that have stuff for sale there, so they have little areas to put their stuff. I'll also say that some people have their stuf
This is the best version of local Mexican food I've found. The food is consistently good, the service is top notch and the staff is super nice. Thank you for having a great place!
Love this place for lunch. They have a buffet, it always has a nice variety of food. My favorite is the fried chicken, mashed potatoes, creamed corn and brown gravy. The service here is top notch and the food is always prepared amazing.
