Very pricey compared to other hotels in town, but one of the few places with decent reviews (I guess you get what you pay for). It was older and felt a bit run-down. It was fine, though, for an overnight stop. Our room was clean and comfortable and in a safe area, which are the most important things to us. The front desk clerk was very friendly.

Stayed one night for a fall color weekend trip. Have stayed here several times before. Overall a good experience, but this hotel is beginning to show its age. Nothing that would cause me to look elsewhere, just small things here and there. Bathroom was well equipped with soaps. The sink comes with a small bar of soap, but no dish to put it in, so it just lays on the countertop. Room was adequate and clean. Very large mini-fridge. No USB ports for charging, so come prepared. Overpowering bleach smell in pool area kept us from using the hot tub. Breakfast was on the lower side of average. Pre-cooked egg patties, sausage patties and links. Breakfast staff was great. They need to make some improvements to their menu.

The room was clean. The room was quiet and it was nice the window opened to get a little fresh air. Close to shops and ferries! Would stay there again! Great overnight. Stop to rest up and catch an early morning ferry! The staff was friendly. The breakfast left something to be desired. Skip the breakfast you'll thank me.

This was an awesome hotel. Great location and very well lit parking areas. You can park your car and walk to ferry or around town for restaurants and shopping. |Stayed here a couple nights and had some room issues which the staff quickly remedied and followed up by asking if everything was okay after that. The breakfast area was nice and the hotel staff were helpful and had much comradeship going on. Would definitely stay here again

If you want to visit both Mackinaw City and Island this is a great place. Only 2 minutes from the ferries to the island and 2 minutes to downtown Mackinaw City. The staff were great about guiding us around town and check-in was a breeze. Luggage carts were available at all times. The breakfast was typical of a motel and the hot foods were fresh. We ate out one morning and at the motel on the other. Breakfast is included so take that into account.

We were disappointed in this hotel. We chose it because it had the best rating in the area. We had reserved a king size bed, and were put in a room beside the pool. Do not accept this room if you get it! It had an odor/smell. When we checked in the window was open slightly, there is an overhead fan that was on, and there is a dehumidifier in the room. They are aware that there is a problem with this room. They gave it to us anyway. There was also a dirty towel on the floor. ||We asked to change rooms after about 2 hours. They gave us a queen room that was an accessible room. Meaning we had a smaller room, not comfortable and nowhere else to switch to. When we asked about a price adjustment the clerk told us to take it up with the morning manager. The morning manager said she could give us the room at the regular queen rate. We would hope so!! There was no apology, no discount. We were very disappointed.

We found this hotel to be an excellent choice for what we had planned to do during our stay. It's one of the only hotels not on the water, but very convenient to the Mackinaw Crossing shopping district and all restaurants and shops were within walking distance. No need to drive around looking for parking. The free ferry parking lot is right next door with shuttle service to the dock rather than pay $40 to park right near the boat. Our room (231) was absolutely huge with a king bed, giant easy chair with ottoman, mini fridge, two dressers, and good sized T.V. We could see the Interstate right out our window but didn't hear a thing. Everything was clean and in good condition including the public areas. Not a fancy hotel, but will serve the purpose for a comfortable stay. The pool area was very stark and the hot tub was cool with half the jets not working. The breakfast area was clean but cramped for the amount of people but the meal provided was of good quality. The only breakfast restaurant within walking distance was a little pricey, the Pancake Chef. Eat here and save some cash! The parking lot is huge with plenty of lighting and there is a super market right behind the hotel for anything you might need. The desk clerks all were very bright and helpful, as well.
