Baymont by Wyndham Hazelwood - Hotel in Hazelwood - 323 Taylor Rd, USA

Stayed for 3 nights. Hotel was very nice looking and clean. Second morning they put breakfast away an hour early because they didn’t have enough staff. Maid service was lacking. Never made beds, didn’t fill empty toilet paper rolls, didn’t replace plastic cups in bathroom, didn’t vacuum. Pool was very nice. Person who checked us in was nice. Only sheets were on the bed. Had to ask twice for a blanket!

Stayed here 5 miserable nights. Only one staff member was nice. The rest were rude and disrespectful 👿. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Would have totally changed hotels if we hadn't paid in advance. So the first night came in there was gum on the window. Left over food on the floor under the table. Stained sheets, only 3 towels for 5 of us. the bed was pushed all the way over to the wall so we didn't have any air conditioning, with 95° weather. The next night came back and no housekeeping was done. Went down to complain and the staff member told us that we must have been still sleeping when the housekeeper came by. We were up at 6am. So unless she came by before that, she didn't come by. We also didn't have anymore toilet paper. The staff member then told us to use the tissue. That the housekeeper keeps everything locked up. Went to the continental breakfast to only find moldy bread. The kids wanted to use the pool no towels. The female staff that worked nights had guys come in to hang out with her. Then would ignore anyone who had questions. Or was always on her phone. Needed to use the laundry and she didn't have any quarters. It was one thing after another. : -(

Extremely unprofessional. The carpet in the room had a huge sticky stain in it. It appears there was no attempts to shampoo the rug. The bathtub was peeling and had rust marks. The so called hot breakfast was like warm and there are better food selection in a rundown gas station than at this hotel. This hotel deserve zero star.

no housekeeping, first morning food almost frozen, second morning didn’t want to bring more food out, light bulb out in bathroom, very rude staff, pool not working. was yelled at & cussed out by employee when asking about breakfast. tried to talk to manager but was told there wouldn’t be one available until Monday morning. one young man was very nice only good thing about the hotel. he’s the reason for the one star. spent money to buy breakfast somewhere else. having breakfast & a pool were the main reasons we stayed there. definitely not up to baymont standards.

I should have known from the fact that we were the only guests on the weekend that this place was a pit. Pool had a notice from the Board of Health that it was closed. We could take the elevator up to our floor, but we could not call it from our floor and had to walk down the stairs. Ice bucket in the room had old water and mold in it. We went down to breakfast only to find it wasn't set up. We went to ask about it but there wasn't anyone at the desk, for hours. Pretty much everything they advertised wasn't available. Went to complain to the manager but were told they wouldn't be in until Monday or Tuesday. They had us write our complaint out and slid it under the manager's door. Avoid this hotel at all costs. Everyone else seemed too.

I read previous reviews for the property before booking, but still went with this property. Unfortunately, the reviews were spot on. Long story short, I had to meet my GF which was driving overnight from Baltimore, to drive her the rest of the way to Denver. After arriving at 12:30am, I was greeted by someone who was dressed in what can only be described as a Nike Sleep shirt. Friendly enough, went up to the room. Found out why people were having problems with the Cleanliness. One of the pics attached is the sheets I laid on, followed by the bed skirt. I did not take pictures of the bath towels with brown and black stains (which were about 2ft by 2ft). Shower kicked butt, no complaints there. Fast forward to the morning. My Gf gets in at 10am, and needs to shower. I go down and ask the front desk if we can get an hour later check out so she can refresh before getting back in the car, and get a "NO, the housekeeper has to leave". I told her that she just needs to shower, and get a blank stare and "my housekeeper has to leave". Extremely rude, and once again, not even in a uniform that shows she works there. Needless to say, won’t be staying here ever again, and have an extremely bad taste for Baymont Inns now.

This hotel is absolutely the worst hotel I have ever stayed at and I will not be returning back. I traveled to St. Louis from Chicago for my Family Picnic. Our family had a group reservation for this hotel. When I arrived to the hotel to check in I was told that my room had been cancelled. I was not notified by any one from the hotel about the changes. They "claim" to have tried to contact me, but I am not sure how they tried to contact me when I never received 1 phone call from them. I was told that if I was going to stay there that night that I would have to pay the regular price that they had posted for that night which was $169/night instead of the agreed $78/night. The hotel was not even worth $169/night. My room had stains in the tub and carpet. Housekeeping never came and cleaned my room although I saw them in the hallway as I was leaving my room. I was also told by staff that they were told from their manager not to allow any more "Bates People" into the hotel. I spoke to corporate and they told me that we would have to pay the price that is was for those nights and that upon check out they would refund us the difference. When I completed a follow up with corporate they told me that my case was closed and they will not be refunding me my difference that I paid. I have been trying to get in contact with the owner and managers and no one has contacted me back and it has almost been three weeks. I would have stayed at another hotel but there were so many other activities and events going on that weekend in St. Louis that every hotel was full to capacity and I would have not had any where to stay. With everything, that happened with this hotel I will never stay with this company again.

Clean and safe. Pricing is fair. Calvin should be promoted to Hotel manager, such great customer service. I only use this hotel for my business when I have people flying in. Some stay only a night and most stay up to six nights. Only 13 minutes from airport. I have yet have someone complain about the service or rooms. This is an honest review, I recommend hotel to anyone looking for a place to lay their head down in St. Louis area. If it ever changes, I promise to change my review.
