Baymont by Wyndham Clute/Lake Jackson - Hotel in Clute - 900 TX-332, USA

We stayed one night Saturday night for 160 dollars total. Service was good. Room is terrible. Room 119. Lights in bathroom didn’t work. They put a lamp in there. Room has moldy smell combine with cigarette smell. Restroom ceiling picture see it for yourself. Felt like a roach motel more than Wyndham.

Considering the cost of the rooms this hotel is great. With breakfast being included, it makes this 100% worth the stay. The room was clean, and for 75$ a night, you get a king-sized bed with a separate room that has a pull out couch. We did not have any bug problems, with the weather and the age of the building. I am not surprised that there could be an occasional roach. But I would not be able to stay in a room with infestation. I read some of the other reviews, and all I can say is that everything was clean, and if there is a problem, it seems that they are working hard to keep it under control. This is not a romantic getaway hotel, but it is a convenient place to stay if you have reason to be in that area. Mammoth Lake is minutes away, making this an easy stay for a diving weekend. The staff was very friendly and I am sure that if there was any problem with our room that they would have done what they can to make us happy.

Checked in went to bathroom roach crawling on floor. Killed it, sat on couch roach crawling on my leg killed it then again on leg. One crawling on wall he killed it and then fridge has about 15 in it some crawling most dead. Most disgusting sickening we checkout didn't stay. I want my points and money back. Wish I read all the reviews before I booked here. Wyndham is getting bad. Went to Holiday Inn paid 138 so worth should did it in first place. Filing complaint with BBB

Positive: Location & cleanliness Negative: For us, the bed was much much too soft.The commode would not flush, like it should, perhaps due to lack of water pressure.If free breakfast was from 5/6a.m-9, & at 8:40 they were out & did not replenish for guests.

Walked in a roach in bathroom and killed it. Sat on couch roach crawling on my leg. Then killed on wall and then 15 in the refrigerator some moving most dead . Left did not stay waiting for refund reviews looked at afterwards so many ck in and check right back out. Worst I had ever seen my life. Report clute city health and inspector. They suppose to do inspection wyhndam main Corp said gonna have inspection done and have them remove from their club.

Its close to the beach, the breakfast food is lacking, the rooms stay cold, the pool was warm (not good in my opinion) and cloudy. I have stayed here before and I will stay again.

Everything was 👍 good. Morning breakfast 🥞 starts at 5 am. Waffles all the time 🥞 Scrambled eggs on some days. Great startup family breakfast.

Positive: The location was ideal Negative: The breakfast was less to be desired had to go down the road to get it the exhaust fan in the room didn't work it was very outdated. other than that it was an okay stay Negative: ""
