I was extremely happy with my stay at this wonderful hotel. The hotel is a very good with a fair price which does a wonderful job at giving you the basics done wonderfully. At this price range you don't expect more than the basic amenities. The hotel and specifically my room was extremely clean. The staff were very friendly, attentive and always at the front desk if you needed something. Continental breakfast was very basic but extra Care was taken into food handling etc. For example, bagels were individually wrapped in Saran wrap something I hardly ever see anywhere. I would highly recommend this hotel if you're not looking for the luxury extras. It's a good price and a clean place with a comfy bed. Also felt very safe here. I will be staying here again.

Our stay started badly and continued to get worse. We were not notified that there was a boil advisory when we checked out and had to find out from a local restaurant. The hotel lobby, hallways, and rooms smelled and the room was less than clean. I asked the front desk to look at our shower as the shower head seemed to be clogged as well as the drain and when in use the water had an awful smell. No one came. Our room phone did not work, there was no power cord to plug it in, so I had to go down to the front desk to ask for towels. No one brought any so again I had to go down and retrieve some myself. Then after a restless night due to what we believe to be a hotel employee knocking on our door at 3 am, I woke up to discover bug bite marks all over my body! There was no manager on site so the reception person had to call them. Needless to say we checked out immediately and will never stay here again. Now I have to quarantine all of our luggage, sanitize, and wash everything possible. Along with all the extra work I will have to do I require medication for the severe bug bites, cleaning supplies, and having my car professionally sanitized to ensure I haven't brought any bugs back with me. I have also been too embarrassed to leave my home as my face, arms, and legs are covered in red bites that are not easily covered.

My dad and I were in town for the NASCAR race, but it got rained out on Sunday. I was able to book this hotel at a very reasonable rate. The hotel and rooms are very clean, the breakfast selection is impressive, and the staff are very friendly and welcoming.

Booked a room here as part of a longer trip. It was a great location, being near the highway. The hotel is pretty simple. There's a pool and a fitness center, and they serve coffee as well as a simple continental breakfast (which I missed due to having left earlier than it was available). My room was spacious, and I was surprised at the size of the bathroom. However, the room felt very damp and musty. It seems that efforts were being made to control it, as evident by the bag of DampRid hanging on the clothes rack, but apparently in vain. I'm almost certain there's mold growing. The cooling helped a ton, but the unit was very loud, even on the lowest fan setting. It wasn't a very comfortable sleep due to the noise. I didn't have high expectations or a choice when booking, and it was just overnight. However, I'd urge the management to address these items to provide a better experience for others.

Got to the hotel about 8 pm. Check in go to our room. Beds are not made room is not cleaned. Get another room and find an empty fifth of vodka between the mattress and boxspring. We go and tell them and they give us another room at this point its been 45 min and all we want to do is sit and eat our dinner that is now cold. We are told we can't get a refund or a discount they can only give us another room. Now being 9pm we don't really have any other options, and we take the room. We got in the room and settled in and realized there is black mold in the ac unit vent we shut it of immediately and opened the window to get fresh air and find there is no screen in the window. The tub is also a slipping hazard because the bottom is not flat. The chair sitting in front of the bed was covered in something gross. There was stains on the sheets and every piece of furniture had a dent or chip of wood missing. Needless to say, i will never be returning, and a claim has been made.

I wish I would have known how run down this property was, prior to booking. I don’t even feel that most of the reviews give enough importance to how scary this property felt. There were very sketchy situations going on in th roaring lot upon arrival & during check in. We felt unsafe & we checked out within 20 minutes. ||||The desk staff was very polite, helpful & understanding, however.

It was bad. I accidentally booked a handicap accessible room. The first one I went to on the first floor had human fecel matter on the toilet by the handle and on the lid. I pointed this out to the desk clerk. Told the desk clerk I did not want a handicap accessible rm and would pay the difference. He like any other crooked terrorist charged my card and put me in a handicap rm on the second floor. It is full of bed bugs. I thought after the first room he would offer me a discount or give me a room at a cheaper rate, no such luck. I guess they are very racist and believe African American people don't deserve the same, consideration and respect as white people, even though we pay the merchant what they ask. I wanted a refund so I could go somewhere else. I was refused and ended up sleeping in my car. Will not be back here again. The front desk guy was mentioning the motel making 130,000 a year. Not if they don't improve or step up their game. This was a very racist experience.

I gave a one star as I was very disappointed with my service. I was on a semi spur of the moment trip over that way and had stayed in the Chelsea area about 10 years ago. We got there and asked for a room. They had 3 rooms left but wanted to charge $299 plus tax and service fees for a room for one night due to the high volume of people staying at the hotel as U of M University's graduation was that weekend. And was told they can charge what ever they want when they have higher then normal volume of guests and that if wanted to stay you pay the price. (Um excuse me, we DO NOT TALK TO GUESTS that way) So I stated I was going to go to the other hotel. Again told you will pay higher there for the same thing and they can charge you more. Well I am sorry, but I do not believe when you are a hotel and can just change your prices due to the amount of people that are coming in for a graduation. When online it shows around $188. Granted, I did not have a reservation, but that should not matter. I was on a whim and thought it would be fun to have a spontaneous trip with my husband and stay where we had 10 years ago. So would I recommend them, Maybe on a day, weekend they do not have big events or make sure that if you know your going to stay there book several months in advance. But also did see some rather not great reviews from others that stated there were issues with staff, cleanliness of the rooms and just all around not a good hotel to stay at.
