Baymont by Wyndham Calhoun - Hotel in Calhoun - 125 Hampton Drive, USA

Quick stop on our way to Florida so we could rest and shower. First room we were given the fridge didn’t work and smelled musty/mildewy so they moved us. Second room we were given had an overwhelming smell of paint or some type of chemical fumes. We tried to just deal with it since we were already moved once and didn’t want to seem like we were just complaining but it was just too bad. I went to the desk and asked the attendant to come to the room so she could understand what I was referring to. As soon as I opened the door she said “oh wow”. She said they sprayed the tub last week and were currently painting upstairs but couldn’t explain why the smell was just in that room, not in the hallway or anywhere else. So she said she would call her manager and see what to do. She moved us again to a “suite”. The suite had stains on the sofa and one of the bedspreads, and overall not the cleanest, nor were either of the 2 first rooms. I always take my own Lysol wipes and wipe down surfaces I plan to touch but don’t think I should have to clean the entire room. The “hot” breakfast offered was oatmeal, muffins, cereal and bananas. The only thing I can really say was good was the water pressure in the shower. I won’t be staying here again. The whole place needs to be updated. Rip out the nasty carpet and put hard surface flooring and replace furniture with some that can be wiped down. Like they say, you can put lipstick on a pig but it’s still a pig.

We stayed for one night. Employees were nice. The breakfast consisted of muffins, fruit, yogurt, etc. The room was spacious for the four of us. The beds were comfortable. The shower pressure was great. The shower drain was very slow. I had to shut the shower off several times to let the water drain, or the water would have been up past my ankles. The outlet in the bathroom was very loose and has started to separate from the wall. The hotel staff is aware of the issues with our room. Hopefully, the maintenance crew will fix it soon.

The room was fine, a basic hotel room. It was at least clean, but kind of shabby. There is a spot by the door that was cut out to expose wiring. I told 2 front desk attendants that there was a dead rat by one of the side doors, and it was still there when I left. The "breakfast" was awful. The pool and the fitness center are both closed. Definitely not worth the $180 for the night

Be careful! There’s a man there that’s very dishonest and will cheat you. Make sure you get an invoice at the end and look very careful. They’re very unapologetic as they’re cheating you. If necessary, there are tons of hotels in that very area. I would definitely avoid this one! I was wondering why everyone was going to the others. Just avoid here if you want honesty

Stopped for the night on way home from Florida. The lady at the front desk was super nice, the room we stayed in had the newer laminate flooring which is nice compared to carpet. Housekeeping is lacking in some areas, the bathroom needed help, the air conditioner in room was set to 68, never got below 72. Went to breakfast the following morning and the milk was spoiled, daughters couldn’t eat their cereal they just poured into bowls.

Stopped for the night driving through. Customer service was great and bed was so very comfy. Clean hotel. Water pressure was just so-so. Breakfast was pre wrapped carbs but coffee was hot and abundant!

Bathroom floor and toilet were dirty (I cleaned it myself) and breakfast was not sufficient. Definitely not up to par for a Wyndham hotel. Bed was comfortable and the shower was good. TV worked. Fridge and microwave were present although we didn't use them.

My husband and I stayed at the Baymont on July 18th, seem to be ok, until I woke up and water was all over the floor, I called downstairs no answer, it was around 6:00 am so I said ok, I walked down and spoke with Melissa, I told her the toilet flooded can we get another room, so we could take a bath, I was asked if I wanted a TOILET PLUGER and some towels, and no we couldn't have another room, after she told me that, cleaning toilet water up with guest towels, I decided to take my own towels from this point on. I asked to speak with the manager which was the owner Sam and still no customer service, this hotel has a bad plumbing problem and I'm so surprised Wyndham allowed there name to be associated with the hotel. The breakfast looked fine, I was going to grab some cereal and milk ;but the cereal was in a large container that every used and the milk wasn't individual contained, it was a gallon, in today's world, people do too much for that.
