The room was very nice and clean. It was decorated nicely and the staff went out of the way to make sure everything was good. I like to get away to the beach area once in a while even though I'm local. I would definitely go back.
Bad. .... that summarizes the night at this motel. ... we rented a one bedroom with a queen bed and a sleeper sofa ... The room has a disgusting smell, so bad that we have to leave the door open to refresh the place. The Sleeper sofa is just as bad as everything else... metal wires poking on my body, I requested a different sofa or mattress, but the manager said no. . The sheets had brown stains, which were finally replaced for clean ones after complaining to the front desk. I am still trying to go to sleep as I write this review ... I wish I had never rented this room ... I can assure you that I am NEVER coming back to this place.
We booked via third party within minutes of arriving and the office had our reservation ready as soon as we got there. Alexa was incredibly helpful, very professional and had the sweetest customer service. We loved having access to all three properties and amenities, and our view of the bay was perfect. The property is dated, but we loved that old Florida feel. It’s maintained very well, super clean and cold AC! We would absolutely recommend and would also stay again.
Enjoyed our time at Bay palms and we spent most of the day at the hotel on the beach and went swimming in the pool and out in the ocean that was really nice. We really enjoyed happy hour in the lobby however the glasses the wine were in were pretty ridiculously poor nobody knew how to use them. We stayed at a room a block down the street which is owned by the same company A really cute room where you can try to fish out back. Did not like the shower head It was extremely small. Also there was no office there so if you want to talk to a staff member you're out of luck there is nobody there! But at least I had a refrigerator and the bed was pretty comfortable. It was definitely a quiet place which is nice. I think we are very lucky to have gotten parking there for sure. No idea what we would have done if that one spot was not open. Overall it was a nice weekend getaway It's still strange that no staff members are at that building The one on the bay. I like the penny bathroom in the main lobby! The front desk staff was a little stressed out maybe they needed a little bit more help
I preface this review with the following statement: I have been traveling constantly for the past 7 years to over 75 countries and I have stayed in literally over a thousand different hotels during the past 7 years.||||During that time, I have never written a negative review about a hotel because I never had a negative hotel experience. This is my first negative hotel review. ||||I do not recommend this property to anyone – I experience several severe problems. There are many amenable hotels within a short distance of this hotel that would be excellent choices. ||||There were multiple negative experiences for me at the Bay Palms Waterfront Resort in St. Pete Beach, Florida. My review addresses the three types of negative experiences, two of which prompted me to report this hotel to the local health department:||||1) Condescending and intolerant reception staff.||2) A serious health hazard in one of the rooms that I booked.||3) A disgustingly filthy swimming pool. Another public health hazard.||||RECEPTION STAFF||||This hotel is spread out over 3 non-adjoining properties, and the reception desk is located on one of those properties. When I arrived via car, I parked in the parking lot under the Bay Palms Water Resort sign. When I got out of the car, I saw a sign that said Entrance so I walked there but there was no entrance and no reception office. ||||After walking around a while, I saw a sign that said the reception office was not on the property, but down the street a distance. We had already unloaded our luggage hoping to check in, but had to reload the luggage back into the car and drive down the street to the reception office.||||When I arrived at the reception office, there was a man and woman working the reception desk. I commented that the reception office was hard to find, and in response the woman retorted to me in a condescending manner as if speaking to a child. Here exact words were, “Oh, someone didn’t read their email.” ||||There were also two other guests waiting to check in who commented to me that they also couldn’t find the reception office. Anyway, I told both of the reception staff again that the office was hard to find.||||At this point the male reception worker retorted to me in a very rude and condescending manner as follows. His exact retort was, “I did my part because I put up a sign and I included directions to the reception office in the confirmation email.”||||I tried to explain that people don’t really read their confirmation emails, they just give it a quick scan to see that their booking is confirmed, and that therefore the confirmation email is not a good place to include a message about the location of the reception office. ||||I wanted to advise them to use an sms text to inform about the reception office location as other hotels and Airbnb hosts do, and which is very effective. But I didn’t because I didn’t want to hear any more rude, flippant and intolerant remarks from them.||||HEALTH PROBLEM AND AESTHETIC PROBLEM IN ONE OF THE ROOMS I BOOKED||||I booked two units. One unit was a one bedroom apartment. We arrived at the units at about 7pm. There was an intense stink of mold and mildew in the bedroom of the apartment. So intense that it was unbearable. So we opened the window and balcony door in hopes that it would air out and we went to dinner. ||||When we returned at 10:45pm the intense mold and mildew stink in the bedroom was the same. So I thought that sleeping on the pullout sofa in the living room would be better where the stink was less intense. But when I pulled out the sofa bed, I immediately saw areas of black mold in several areas on the bottom of the mattress. I immediately pushed the mattress back into the sofa. ||||I called the reception desk. The phone was answered by the same man who spoke condescendingly to me when I checked. I told him a about the mold and mildew stink. His first response was as follows. In his exact words he said, “Why didn’t you tell me about it earlier, it is almost 11pm and I check out at 11pm.”||||At this point, I became furious. I told him he needed to come to the room and experience the problem himself and that I was fed up with my experience at this hotel. At that point he told me that he didn’t like my attitude and that therefore he wasn’t going to exchange the room for a new new room until the next morning because he didn’t like my attitude. Then I became even more furious. Despite the health hazard of mold and mildew, he insisted that the room be slept in that night.||||He came to meet me at the room in a big huff. I showed him the room and he kept talking over top of me. I asked him if he could stop talking. He then became extremely angered and told that both me and my friend had to leave the property. We left. We had absolutely no desire to stay there a minute longer. ||||I told him that I was going to call and report the property to the health department and the police. Which I did the next day. I also reported the property to my credit card company to reverse charges.||||A DISGUSTINGLY FILTHY SWIMMING POOL||||Unlike the lovely blue swimming pool that they display on 3rd party booking sites, the swimming pool is filled with filthy, stagnant, scum-laden, dark green water. I also reported this to the health department. Another health hazard.
The staff is very helpful and polite. They did everything possible to make a great impression on us.|We loved watching dolphins from our balcony and watching kids catching little fish in the bay. |The patios/deck marina was in view and very pretty lit up at night.|Go have dinner at the Grand Hacienda! best taco dipped in broth and Jims burrito. |Great place to chill, eat and walk around.
I’ve stayed at this resort a few times and it’s usually one of my favorites. I had to take a star off but I’m not sure I can blame it on the resort. At the same time as our stay there was a family with quite a few children. They had little respect for the people around them or the resort. We got up in the morning to get sit on the deck for coffee and there was trash everywhere. Beer cans, soda cans, pool noodles, bracelets, popsicle trash as well as melted popsicles. At 10 am we went to get in|the pool and did not do so as someone (same family) had brought the tissue box from their room and there were several wet gross tissues in the pool. Also toys, popsicle wrappers and toothbrushes. As I said this probably isn’t the resorts fault as much as the families but I|Do wish that it would have been cleaned up earlier. My husband and I cleaned most of it up so it didn’t blow into the bay as it was a very windy day. Our room was great and clean. Our refrigerator in our room didn’t cool of so much so we had to keep our food in the cooler. I would definitely return.
This place is perfect! Is not the fanciest but is perfect!! Went with my husband and had all we needed to have a perfect weekend. We went for a baseball game but had the time to chill by the pool/beach area. Staff was super nice and making sure their guests have what they need! Will be back!

This was our first time at The Coconut Inn and we loved everything about it. We wanted an old town low key beach vibe where we could walk or bike to the beach, bars, restaurants and to hear music. The Owner of the Inn, Maggie was so nice and accommo
Love this place. We have rented unit 508 multiple years in a row and love the pool area and view of the bay. The beach is a small trek across the street but that's fine because there are crosswalks and the unit we stay in has a beach wagon for chairs
My boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in #701. Our unit was a quick walk to beach, and for an affordable price. We were pleased that our room was spacious enough to be comfortable for 2 people, despite being a studio. We were a little warm,
We stayed just for one night but really enjoyed our families experience here. All of the staff was very friendly and very accommodating. The valet was actually convenient and they helped us as well with setting up beach chairs for us and setting up a
Perfectly embodies an Old Florida feel. Sweet and intimate beachfront and gorgeous small town vibe. Walking the little shops was a treat. If youâre tired of congested beaches and want something more cozy and sincere, the is the place to look.
Wonderful, quiet, great place to stay. Met wonderful people who come back year after year. Price was excellent. Had a kitchen with all you might need. Furnished nicely. Will come back next time in St. Pete's Beach!
We were here to catch (obviously) the sunset. Although it was a cloudy evening we enjoyed the beach. Lots of room to setup an umbrella and chairs, or rent them. Also beach volleyball courts are available to the public. There are restaurants there as
We were on the hunt for a great breakfast spot right by the beach when in St Pete and we are glad we found the frog pond! We were greeted warmly by the host, seated immediately on a busy Saturday and our order was taken right away. Tyler was a great
A beautiful local St Pete Beach park right on Boca Ciega Bay. They often have live music and movie events to enjoy. You can bring your own food and drink or support the local firefighters by buying the inexpensive food and beverages at the events. Fa
I went at sundown on a relatively colder day (~55F), and the beach was great! Super fine, white sand and no seaweed or debris once you get past the beachhead/parking lot area. The parking lot is just a stones throw away from the whole beach. Not much
